Slovenia’s Prime Minister Concedes Inability to Form Government

Earlier this month, Janša’s party supported the pro-Russian Resni.ca party’s attempt to have their leader, Zoran Stevanović, elected as speaker of Slovenia’s parliament. This was widely seen as indicating an alliance between the two populist parties. However, after meeting with Pirc Musar on Monday, Janša admitted that his party had not yet secured enough support to return to power.

The populist leader, who has served as Slovenia’s prime minister three times already, mentioned that his party is open to forming a government, staying in opposition, or facing repeat elections. “All three options are good for us,” he stated.

If Janša, who admires Donald Trump, manages to form a government, he would rejoin the European Council just as his ally, outgoing Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, prepares to stop attending the periodic EU leader summits.

  4. Seems like Janša’s got more options than a tapas menu, but let’s hope Slovenia doesn’t end up as the laughingstock of the EU buffet! 🍽️😂

Looks like Janša’s got more options than a Swiss army knife, but who needs a government when you can just keep playing political musical chairs? 🪑💼 Must be a real delight to see such “leadership” in action! 😏

Looks like Janša’s government formation skills are as sharp as a butter knife—three options and none of them involve actually leading. 🤷‍♂️ Typical!

Looks like Janša’s got more options than a Swiss army knife, but none of ’em seem to be working out. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe he should just stick to collecting stamps instead of trying to collect votes! 😏
