Russia Overnight Attack on Ukraine Leaves at Least 16 Dead

Ukraine has successfully intercepted 90 percent of the killer drones and nearly 80 percent of the cruise missiles that Russia has targeted at the country over the past six months, according to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who spoke at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Berlin on Wednesday. He reported that from last November to March this year, Russia launched 462 ballistic missiles, close to 600 cruise missiles, and 27,000 Shahed-type drones against Ukraine.

Despite this, Kyiv faces a shortage of anti-ballistic defenses, heavily depending on Western supplies. There is a severe lack of PAC-2 and PAC-3 interceptor missiles, a shortage that has worsened since the U.S. and Israel initiated their conflict with Iran in late February.

Kyiv has begun to explore alternatives to the PAC missiles and continues to urge partners to honor their obligations to Ukraine.

“There are many political commitments from partners that have already been voiced but not yet implemented, including in the ‘Ramstein’ format and on a bilateral basis,” Zelenskyy said on Thursday. “I have instructed the commander of the air force to contact those partners who previously gave promises regarding missiles for ‘Patriots’ and other systems.”

Just another day in the office, eh? Who needs proper air defense when you can intercept 90% of the incoming? Might as well hand out medals for dodging missiles like a game of dodgeball! 🎯😏

Seems like Ukraine’s air defense is doing a better job dodging missiles than my mate dodges paying the tab! 🍻👀 If only promises were as effective as those interceptions, eh?

  3. So, let me get this straight – while Ukraine’s defense is busy playing whack-a-mole with drones, it seems the West is still stuck in traffic debating who brings the snacks to the next meeting. Classic! 🤦‍♂️

Seems like Ukraine’s doing a splendid job playing hide-and-seek with those drones, but let’s hope their partners are better at delivering promises than a late-night kebab delivery! 🍕💨

Seems like Russia’s really taken a page out of the “how to waste money on missiles” handbook, while Ukraine’s busy playing catch-up with their own supply chain drama. Maybe they could trade a few killer drones for a decent supply of PAC missiles instead? 😂

Isn’t it just charming how the West sends a heartfelt “we’re here for you” while Ukraine’s dodging more drones than a dodgy taxi driver avoids potholes? 😏✈️

Seems like Russia’s missile delivery service is still on a record-breaking spree, while Ukraine’s just trying to keep the skies clear—who knew air defense was this thrilling? 🤷‍♂️⚡️

Looks like Ukraine’s got more drones coming at it than the average pub has pints on a Friday night! 🍻 But who needs missiles when you can just keep asking nicely, right? 😂

  9. Seems like Ukraine’s defense is running on a shoestring budget while dodging missiles like it’s a twisted game of dodgeball—who needs enough anti-ballistic defenses when you can just rely on good old-fashioned luck, right? 🎯💸

Seems like Russia’s missile launchers are having more fun than a kid in a candy store, while Ukraine’s defense is still waiting for that ‘special delivery’ from their pals in the West. Typical, eh? 😏💼

Another day, another round of “who can promise the most” in the grand game of international politics. Just imagine, 462 missiles to get through before breakfast and still no coffee for the defenders! ☕️💥

Seems like Russia’s doing a splendid job of keeping the nightlife lively in Ukraine. Who needs a peaceful evening when you can enjoy the sound of missiles whizzing by, eh? 🎉💥
