“Most redundant services should be restored and will hopefully not face further disruptions,” the company stated.
Finnish authorities, alongside the network operator, are currently investigating the incident, Finnish Transport and Communications Minister Lulu Ranne announced on Tuesday.
“We take the situation seriously,” she emphasized.
This latest disruption follows another event just two weeks ago, involving two undersea fiber-optic communication cables in the Baltic Sea. The damage, which affected cables between Finland and Germany and between Sweden and Lithuania, raised concerns about potential sabotage.
