
The ECO Routes project, supported by the European Union in Albania, merges nature with sustainable tourism.
Participants in the “Reel the Site” competition explored the Topojan waterfall in northeastern Albania’s Kukës area, discovering developed hiking trails designed to connect people with nature and enhance cross-border tourism.
The “Reel the Site” video competition serves to promote cultural heritage and tourism while raising awareness of the European Union’s support in Albania.
Besides Topojan waterfall, the ECO Routes project includes the Adventure Park in Shishtavec, a family-friendly space that offers outdoor activities and enhances the region’s appeal to visitors.
The ECO Routes project seeks to promote sustainable development and boost tourism in the Kukës and Rahovec areas, fostering cross-border collaboration and establishing the region as an ecotourism destination.
The initiative focuses on developing and promoting ecotourism routes that reduce environmental impact and maximize local community benefits.
By showcasing the natural and cultural attractions of the Kukës and Rahovec regions, ECO Routes aims to drive tourism and economic growth in both areas. (August 12)
