
In Tirana, the High Council of the Prosecution, in partnership with the EU4Justice program, held a two-day discussion focusing on the key priorities of the HCP’s Strategic Plan for 2025-2030.
The event brought together Council members, legal professionals, and key stakeholders including the Prosecutor General, heads of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), and prosecutors from various regions including Tirana, Durrës, Fier, Berat, Elbasan, Dibër, Kukës, Shkodër, and Gjirokastër. Also present were members of the Council’s administration, representatives from the Ministry of Justice, and two experts from the EU4Justice initiative, Arturo Valdés Trapote and Francesco de Sanctis.
Mirela Bogdani, the head of the HCP, noted that the creation of this plan will be a crucial tool for meeting constitutional and legal obligations, as well as public expectations regarding the management of the prosecution system, all while aligning with international standards.
“With the ongoing support and input from EU4Justice experts, we have a significant opportunity to bolster our capabilities,” she emphasized.
The discussions culminated in important conclusions, marking a critical advancement in upholding professionalism and integrity while strengthening the prosecution system.
The EU4Justice program reaffirmed its commitment to fostering collaboration necessary for transforming the prosecution system. (November 18)
