Discussion on the High Council of Prosecutors’ Priorities in Albania and EU4Justice Program Support

In Tirana, the High Council of the Prosecution, in partnership with the EU4Justice program, held a two-day discussion focusing on the key priorities of the HCP’s Strategic Plan for 2025-2030.

The event brought together Council members, legal professionals, and key stakeholders including the Prosecutor General, heads of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), and prosecutors from various regions including Tirana, Durrës, Fier, Berat, Elbasan, Dibër, Kukës, Shkodër, and Gjirokastër. Also present were members of the Council’s administration, representatives from the Ministry of Justice, and two experts from the EU4Justice initiative, Arturo Valdés Trapote and Francesco de Sanctis.

Mirela Bogdani, the head of the HCP, noted that the creation of this plan will be a crucial tool for meeting constitutional and legal obligations, as well as public expectations regarding the management of the prosecution system, all while aligning with international standards.

“With the ongoing support and input from EU4Justice experts, we have a significant opportunity to bolster our capabilities,” she emphasized.

The discussions culminated in important conclusions, marking a critical advancement in upholding professionalism and integrity while strengthening the prosecution system.

The EU4Justice program reaffirmed its commitment to fostering collaboration necessary for transforming the prosecution system. (November 18)

  1. Ah, the High Council of Prosecutors in Albania, where priorities are as clear as a foggy morning in London! It’s delightful to see the EU4Justice Program lending its support—because nothing screams legal reform like a bureaucratic meeting that could double as a tea-sipping session in a quaint Parisian café. One can only hope that their discussions are as riveting as watching paint dry, but with slightly more red tape, naturally!

Ah, the High Council of Prosecutors in Albania discussing priorities—because nothing screams “efficiency” like a roundtable of lawyers debating how to prioritize their own workload. And let’s not forget the EU4Justice program, stepping in like a concerned parent at a school play, ensuring that the kids actually remember their lines while simultaneously hoping they’ll figure out how to share the toys. Bravo, truly!

Ah, the High Council of Prosecutors in Albania is having a lovely chinwag about their priorities, while the EU4Justice program cheerfully plays the role of the supportive friend at a very awkward dinner party. One can only admire how the legal system is treating priorities like a fine wine—too busy decanting to get to the actual taste! But hey, as they say in Europe, it’s all about the journey, not the destination… especially when the destination might just be a bureaucratic maze.
