Nigel Farage Denies Seeking Funding from Elon Musk

Speaking to BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday, the leader of Reform UK dismissed the recent report as “entirely theoretical” and “pure speculation.”

Nigel Farage stated that the claim came as a complete surprise to him, saying, “This is complete news to me; I’ve heard nothing of the sort.”

He further emphasized that he had never engaged in discussions about money with Elon Musk, asserting, “I’ve never solicited a donation from him, and one has never been offered.”

Farage also argued that U.K. regulations would make it improbable for Musk to donate to his right-wing challenger party through X, the social media platform owned by Musk.

“The Electoral Commission would judge that a donation from a company must be proportionate to that company’s presence in the U.K.,” he explained. “The notion that X Corp could contribute $100 million to any political party, honestly, is ridiculous.”

However, Farage did not rule out accepting financial support, stating, “Of course I’d accept money,” before outlining how he would put it to use. According to him, funds could help employ “a network of professional agents across the country to assist our volunteers, run campaigns, and vet individuals.”

Oh, come on, Nigel! It’s not like anyone would want to throw a fortune your way—unless they’re betting on how quickly you can turn a polite conversation into a fundraising pitch. 🤷‍♂️💷

Oh, so Nigel’s suddenly not in the market for a few quid from Musk? How refreshing! 🤔 Next, he’ll be saying he doesn’t fancy a pint with the Queen while he’s at it! 🍻
