Seems like Marylise Léon has mastered the fine art of negotiation: start it, talk a lot, and then just let it die a quiet death—classic French drama, n’est-ce pas? 🎭 But really, who needs actual solutions when you can just keep things “à la carte”? 🍷

Isn’t it charming how “after the hour, it’s no longer the hour” perfectly sums up the French approach to negotiations? A masterclass in avoiding commitment while keeping the rhetoric as sophisticated as a café au lait. ☕️😏

Just what we need, another round of negotiations that end as well as a French soufflé in an oven that’s too hot. 🍽️ Let’s just say Marylise is as keen on revisiting this topic as a Parisian is on queueing for a métro in summer! 😂

Isn’t it charming how Marylise thinks closing the door on the retirement talks is the equivalent of putting the kettle on? 🍵 I suppose some folks just love to keep the drama alive, don’t they? 😏

Looks like Marylise is playing a game of “let’s pretend we care” while everyone else is still stuck in traffic on the road to nowhere. 🤷‍♂️ Typical French flair for drama, but at this rate, we might as well be debating the best croissant in Paris instead! 🥐

Looks like Marylise is pulling a classic “let’s not beat a dead horse” move—how very avant-garde! 🥳 If only negotiating was as easy as her knack for dodging the real issues, we’d all be sipping espresso on the Champs-Élysées by now! ☕️💼

Aha, so Marylise wants to wrap up the retirement talks like a proper ‘croissant’—too bad the dough’s gone stale! 🥐 Just another day in the land of “let’s not resolve anything… but let’s definitely talk about it!” 😂

When the European Commission withholds documents, when the Council negotiates behind closed doors, or when an EU agency exercises power with limited public scrutiny, EU institutional accountability becomes a practical question about who can challenge decisions, who sees the evidence, and who pays the price when oversight is weak.
For those who follow Brussels closely, this is not a niche procedur
