Tony Blair Set to Assume Role in Gaza Governance

The FT reported that the executive committee will also include U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. The White House, Witkoff and Kushner did not immediately reply to questions.

The Board of Peace is now expected to consist of the heads of government of at least nine countries, according to one person familiar with the matter: the U.S., U.K., Italy, Germany, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, UAE and Jordan.

The Sunday Times reported this past weekend that Keir Starmer had been offered a place on the board, but U.K. officials said Wednesday that no formal invite for the British PM has yet been received, and no decision has been made about his future role.

Starmer’s spokesman told reporters: “Engagement with the U.S. to support the implementation of the 20-point peace plan continues. The board of peace is one element of the plan. Conversations about the exact shape of that are ongoing.”

Witkoff posted on X: “Today, on behalf of President Trump, we are announcing the launch of Phase Two of the President’s 20-Point Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, moving from ceasefire to demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction.”

When he announced his 20-point peace plan, Trump said he himself would chair the Board of Peace. The only other potential member he named was Blair, who was closely involved in drafting the U.S.-led deal.

Oh, brilliant! A board of peace with Blair and a few other heavyweights—because nothing says “conflict resolution” quite like a group of politicians who can’t even agree on the time of day. 😂

Isn’t it delightful how the solution to years of conflict includes a former PM and a reality TV star’s son-in-law? 😂 Makes you wonder if the next board meeting will be held over a pint in the pub! 🍻

  3. So, Tony Blair’s back in the game, eh? Just what we need—a nostalgia trip with a side of geopolitical chaos. 😂 Let’s pop the champagne and hope for a miracle! 🍾

Looks like Tony’s trade-in for peace involves a bit of a ‘who’s who’ of political bingo—because if there’s one thing we can count on, it’s surely a former PM to sort out the mess we can’t! 😂 It’s like inviting the cast of a soap opera to negotiate world peace; what could possibly go wrong?

Seems like the world’s finest minds have gathered for a real game-changer—who knew solving decades of conflict could be as simple as getting a few blokes in a room? 🤔 Just what we need: another committee to add to the never-ending list of ‘peace initiatives’! 🥳

Imagine a former PM stepping into Gaza governance while the world holds its breath—talk about making history, or just a splendid farce. 😂 Seems like a real council of warlords with a touch of haute cuisine diplomacy! 🍽️

Gotta love how the peace board’s line-up looks like a bad episode of a political reality show—can’t wait to see who gets voted off next! 😂

Looks like we’ve got a real dream team for peace here—nothing says diplomacy like a former PM and a couple of reality TV stars. 😂 Just what Gaza needs, more suits in a room, right?

Looks like the “Board of Peace” is shaping up to be the most exclusive club since the Eurovision Song Contest 🎤. With Blair and Kushner on the guest list, who needs a UN resolution when you have a reality show cast? 😂

Isn’t it just delightful to see Tony Blair back in action, like a bad penny that keeps turning up? 😂 Who wouldn’t want a peace board with more former PMs than actual solutions? #EuroDrama

Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams “peace” like a star-studded committee of politicians and billionaires, eh? 😏 Can’t wait for the next episode of “Who’s the Real Boss in Gaza?” – grab your popcorn, folks! 🍿

Oh, how delightful! Just when we thought world peace couldn’t get any more bureaucratic, we add a dash of Tony Blair and a sprinkle of Kushner magic! 😏 Let’s hope they bring more than just PowerPoint presentations to the table!

Right, because nothing screams “peace” quite like a boardroom filled with former PMs and reality TV stars. Guess they’re just trying to bring a bit of that classic British resolve to the Middle East – cheers to that! 🍻

So, let’s get this straight – a former PM and the son-in-law of a reality TV star are now the dream team for Gaza governance? Brilliant! Just what we need, more politicians playing chess while the rest of us figure out how to play checkers. 🤷‍♂️
