The restoration will focus on keeping the original design and details of the cast-iron structure, while also making it stronger and long-lasting with new preservation techniques.

Traffic will go through Havenlaan, where new bus markings are added. The renovation will cost about 8.9 million euros and will be done by the NMBS. Once finished, the bridge will be handed over to the Brussels Capital Region to manage.
