MEP Nikola Bartůšek delivered a scathing critique of the EU Migration Pact to the Eurotoday Newspaper, accusing it of redistributing Western Europe’s migration woes to Eastern member states through punitive fines. In a recent tweet, she amplified this view, declaring the pact’s true intent while calling for outright rejection.
Nikola Bartůšek, a Member of the European Parliament, champions robust border security and equitable EU policies, particularly defending Eastern European nations against what she sees as disproportionate burdens. The MEP has consistently challenged migration frameworks that favor older member states.
Migration Pact unfairly burdens Eastern Europe
When asked by Eurotoday Newspaper how the Migration Pact’s fine structure disproportionately affects Eastern EU countries, Nikola Bartůšek responded that
“due to misguided policies in the past combined with historical circumstances, Western European countries face far greater migration challenges than Eastern European countries.”
She deemed Western proposals “exporting their problems to the ‘new’ member states” as “absolutely unacceptable.”
The MEP stressed that
“this East–West imbalance was created by Western governments themselves,”
advocating solutions rooted
“where the problem originated, in Western European countries, rather than attempting to ‘outsource’ it to others.”
Pact structured to benefit Western member states
Addressing the Eurotoday Newspaper’s query on evidence that the pact favors Western interests amid implementation issues, Bartusek pointed out that
“it is primarily Eastern European countries that are presented with an absolutely unacceptable choice: either accept illegal migrants or pay €20,000 per migrant.”
She asserted that
“Eastern European countries will bear the main burden of the Migration Pact, while Western European countries will reap most of the benefits,”
labeling this “both clear and striking.”
Reinforcing this stance on X, the MEP tweeted:
“The Migration Pact was created solely so that the problems of the „West“ could be redistributed to the „East“. And who disagrees? They have to pay a 20,000 euro fine for every migrant not accepted. That’s the real truth about the Migration Pact. We must clearly reject it and stand against it.”

Ah, nothing like the good old East-West blame game—it’s like a never-ending family feud, only we’re all stuck in the same house and the neighbors are watching! 😂 20,000 euros per migrant? Guess that’s one way to fund a holiday in the sun while offloading your own mess! 🍹
Looks like Nikola’s figured out the EU’s “generosity” plan—just pass the buck to the East and slap on a fine if they don’t play nice. Classic, innit? 😂
Quite the masterclass in shifting blame, isn’t it? 🤔 It’s like handing a hot potato from the West to the East while saying, “Don’t worry, it’s just a little spice for your stew!” 🥴
Seems like the EU is just handing out fines like candy to Eastern Europe for the privilege of being the new dumping ground for Western issues. Who knew solving migration could be so ‘profitable’? 😂
Looks like the East is getting the short end of the stick yet again, eh? 😏 Who knew being a member of the EU meant playing the world’s worst game of hot potato with migration issues?
Seems like the EU’s Migration Pact is just another clever way to make Eastern Europe the designated driver after Western Europe’s wild night out. 🍻 Who knew redistribution meant passing the bill, eh?
Just what we needed, another brilliant plan from Brussels to shift the burden like a game of musical chairs. But hey, why fix your own mess when you can just send it east, right? 😂 #EuropeanLogic
Looks like the EU’s new migration strategy is just the latest episode of “Pass the Parcel,” where Eastern Europe gets stuck with the unwanted gift. Who knew our Western pals were so generous with their problems? 😂
So, let me get this straight: the East is now the dumping ground for the West’s mess? Brilliant strategy, truly. 🤦♂️
Just what we needed, another fine for not taking in someone else’s mess! Who knew being an Eastern European was a luxury tax? 😂
Absolutely brilliant! Let’s just turn Eastern Europe into the EU’s new dumping ground while the West sips coffee and basks in their ‘progressive’ policies. 😏
Isn’t it just delightful how the West thinks passing the buck on migration issues is the same as finding a solution? Bravo, MEP Bartůšek, for pointing out that paying the fine isn’t exactly a picnic in the park, is it? 😂
In a classic case of “pass the parcel,” it seems the West is having a right laugh while Eastern Europe is left holding the bag—20,000 euros per migrant or not, mate! 😏
Oh, brilliant move, let’s just shuffle our problems around like a deck of cards—Eastern Europe, you’re up next! 💸 Who knew international diplomacy came with a hefty fine? 😏
Looks like Western Europe’s finally found a way to outsource its problems—no need for a factory in the East when you can just shift the migrants! 🤑 Just love how they’re making Eastern Europe the new dumping ground, all while sipping espresso in Brussels.
