EU May Train Ukrainian Army in Ukraine Post-Ceasefire

Copenhagen – “We have trained over 80,000 soldiers to date, and we need to be prepared to expand our efforts. This may involve deploying EU trainers in Ukraine,” Kaja Kallas stated to the media following an informal meeting of the Union’s defense ministers in Copenhagen.

Kallas expressed appreciation for the “broad support” among the 27 member states for extending the current military mission in Ukraine. All EU nations are in favor, with the exception of Hungary, which she did not mention.

European leaders are developing security guarantees for Ukraine that would take effect after a potential end to hostilities, with the EU intending to enhance its mission to train Ukrainian forces as part of this initiative.

The United States, which had previously been cautious, pledged in August to assist but refrained from deploying American troops to Ukraine. They also stressed the importance of European nations taking the lead in providing the majority of security guarantees for Kyiv. (August 29, 2025)

Brilliant! Nothing says “we care” quite like training an army in the middle of a ceasefire, right? 🙄 Just what Ukraine needed, more EU trainers instead of a decent cup of coffee. ☕️

Looks like the EU’s finally found a hobby to keep busy—who needs peace when you can train soldiers, right? 😂 Maybe next they’ll offer a masterclass on how to stay in the headlines while avoiding actual conflict resolution!

So, let me get this straight: while the rest of the EU is gearing up to play army camp in Ukraine, Hungary is probably still trying to figure out how to spell “solidarity.” Classic! 😂

Oh, splendid! Just what we need—more EU trainers in Ukraine. Who wouldn’t want a masterclass in military strategy from a bureaucracy? 😂

Looks like we’re giving the Ukrainian army a bit of a crash course in “how to win friends and influence people” post-ceasefire. Who knew the EU could moonlight as a military academy? 🤷‍♂️💼

Looks like the EU’s got a training camp ready in Ukraine—who needs peace when you can have a military boot camp instead? 😂 Just what we need, more soldiers and fewer Hungarians in the mix!

Just what we needed, more trainers in Ukraine—because nothing says “peaceful resolution” like a bunch of EU officials in camo, right? 😂🇪🇺

Oh great, just what Ukraine needs—more EU trainers to tell them how to do things the European way! Next stop: a masterclass in bureaucracy alongside basic combat skills! 😂

Oh sure, because nothing says “peace” quite like sending more trainers to the front lines—just what Ukraine needs, a masterclass in dodging bullets! 😂🇪🇺
