EU delays retaliatory tariffs on the USA

Brussels – The EU is delaying its planned countermeasures against the US regarding tariffs for six months.

These measures were scheduled to be implemented this week.

A spokesperson for the EU Commission on trade stated that the EU and the US are continuing their cooperation to finalize a joint document, following an agreement made on July 27 between Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Donald Trump concerning import tariffs.

“With these objectives in mind, the Commission will take the necessary actions to postpone the EU’s countermeasures against the US, initially set to take effect on August 7, for six months.”

In July, the EU approved countermeasures against US tariffs amounting to over 1 trillion kronor, which could be activated if no agreement was achieved.

Although a tariff agreement has been reached between the EU and the US, several unresolved issues persist, including tariffs on pharmaceuticals, where no consensus has been established.

Guess we’re playing a game of “who can stall the longest” with our friends across the pond. 🤷‍♂️ Classic EU fashion—why rush when you can sip espresso and chat about tariffs for another six months, right? ☕️💼

Oh great, more waiting! Just what we needed—six more months to sip espresso while the Americans keep their tariffs like they’re a prized collection. 🥳

Seems like the EU is taking a page from the classic ‘let’s all hold hands and sing Kumbaya’ playbook instead of actually standing up to those pesky Americans. 🤦‍♂️ But hey, who doesn’t love a good game of ‘tariff chicken’ with a six-month delay? Classic!

Typical EU, right? Just when you think they’re ready to play hardball, they decide to have a tea party instead. 🍵🙄

Brilliant, just what we need—another six months of waiting while they scribble on napkins over coffee. I suppose cooperation means “let’s put off the inevitable” in bureaucrat language! 😂💼

Oh, brilliant move, Brussels! Nothing says “we mean business” like a leisurely six-month coffee break while the Yanks play Tariff Tug-of-War. ☕️💼

Delaying tariffs for six months? Brilliant strategy – nothing says “let’s get things done” like a leisurely stroll to resolve a trade war. Classic EU, taking their sweet time while we all sit here with our coffee ☕ and wonder if we’ll ever see a resolution! 😂

Why Do Cats Rub Their Faces on Corners?

If you have a cat, you’ve likely seen her rubbing her face against corners, furniture, or even you. This often occurs when you arrive home or at random times.
