EP Prohibits Access to Offices for All Iranian Representatives

Brussels – The European Parliament has prohibited access to its offices for all members of Iran’s diplomatic staff and other representatives, as announced by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Mecola.

“We cannot proceed as normal. This institution will not legitimize the Iranian regime that relies on torture, repression, and killings,” Mecola stated on her X network account.

Protests in Iran initiated in Tehran on December 28 of last year due to the decline in the Iranian currency and ongoing economic challenges, spreading to over 100 cities and towns across all provinces since then. (January 12)

Oh, fantastic! Just what we needed—a diplomatic game of hide and seek. I suppose they think the Iranians will take the hint and send a “thank you” card from the other side of the globe. 😂

Seems like the European Parliament is really rolling out the red carpet for diplomacy—if by red carpet you mean a big “no entry” sign. 🍷🇪🇺 Quite the bold move, eh?

  3. Just what we need, more bureaucratic red tape! Who knew that preventing diplomatic access could be the new trend in political fashion? 😂 #StyleOverSubstance

Just what we needed, another brick in the wall of diplomatic isolation—who knew a little thing like “torture and repression” would put a damper on office parties? 🎉 Guess the espresso machine will have to find a new crowd to brew for! ☕️

Looks like the EU’s new motto is “no Iranian guests allowed,” as if they were serving tea at a posh soirée. 😂 I suppose the only thing worse than a bad economy is a diplomatic invitation gone horribly wrong! 🍵✌️

Just what we needed, another diplomatic barricade! I suppose the EP thinks they’re playing a game of “Who Can Be the Most Righteous” while the rest of us are stuck in the real world. 🙄💼

Brilliant move, really. Nothing says “we’re open for dialogue” quite like slamming the door in someone’s face. 😏🚪

Just when you thought the EU couldn’t get any better at throwing shade, they go and boot the Iranian diplomats. Looks like diplomacy is taking a backseat to moral high ground – quite the tightrope act, innit? 😂

Oh, brilliant move, really. Nothing says diplomacy like locking the door and throwing away the key—must be the new “open for business” approach! 😂✌️

  10. Oh, fantastic! Nothing says “let’s solve global issues” like shutting the door on diplomacy—bravo, EU! 🍷🥳 Who knew treating international relations like a high school lunchroom was the way forward?

  11. Looks like the European Parliament’s taking a hard line on diplomacy—who knew they had it in them? Next, they’ll be handing out “No Entry” signs like candy at a carnival! 😂

  12. So, the European Parliament’s new bouncer policy on Iranian reps is just what we needed—who knew office security could double as a moral high ground? 🤷‍♂️ Guess the only thing getting through those doors now is a good old-fashioned diplomatic slap on the wrist!

Looks like the European Parliament is really stepping up its game in the diplomatic cold war—because nothing says “we mean business” quite like locking the door and turning off the lights. 😂

Oh, splendid! Just what we needed—a diplomatic game of hide and seek. Nothing like keeping the doors locked to really foster international relations, right? 🤦‍♂️

Nice to see the EP taking a bold stand – because nothing says ‘diplomacy’ like locking the door and throwing away the key. 🤷‍♂️ Seems like a solid plan until someone needs to talk about, you know, actual solutions. 🧐

No surprise there, eh? Just when you thought the EP couldn’t make their stance any clearer, they’ve decided to play bouncer at the door to their own parliament—good luck with that, Roberta! 😂
