Donald Trump Criticizes Vladimir Putin’s Missile Test as Inappropriate Amid War

Washington (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – US President Donald Trump stated on Monday that the announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin about a nuclear-powered cruise missile test was not “appropriate.”

How did Putin describe the burevestnik missile’s capabilities? How does Trump view his relationship with Putin now?

“He ought to get the war (in Ukraine) ended. A war that should have taken one week is now soon in its fourth year. That’s what he ought to do instead of testing missiles,”

Trump briefed reporters aboard Air Force One, AFP reported.

Trump had vowed to swiftly resolve the Ukraine conflict once he returned to the White House in January, but negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv have stagnated despite the US president’s efforts to mediate.

How did Putin describe the burevestnik missile’s capabilities?

Russia has successfully tested its nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile, which Moscow claims can penetrate any defence shield. President Vladimir Putin announced on Sunday that the country will proceed with deploying the weapon.

He claimed that the 9M730 Burevestnik is regarded as “invincible” to current and future missile defences, with nearly unlimited range and an unpredictable flight path.

On Sunday, Putin mentioned that Russian experts once believed the weapon would likely never be feasible. However, he now stated that its “crucial testing” has been completed. He also advised his trusted wartime commander that Russia must learn how to classify the weapon and develop infrastructure for its deployment of the Burevestnik.

How does Trump view his relationship with Putin now?

On Saturday, Trump also announced that he will not spend time meeting Putin again unless there is a likely deal on the Ukraine war.

“I’m going to have to know that we’re going to make a deal,”

Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One after departing from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, when he was asked about arranging a meeting with Putin.

“I’m not going to be wasting my time. I’ve always had a great relationship with Vladimir Putin, but this has been very disappointing.”

He mentioned he believed the Ukraine conflict would have been settled “long before” the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Seems like Trump thinks missile testing is a bit of a faux pas, like wearing socks with sandals at a business meeting. If only he could just tweet the war away, eh? 😂

Oh, delightful! Trump thinks Putin should wrap up a war that’s dragging on longer than a European summer holiday. Guess he forgot that not all conflicts can be resolved with a quick handshake and a golf game. 😏🏌️‍♂️

Seems like Trump’s figured out that missile tests are the latest trend while peace negotiations are just so last season. I mean, why wrap up a war in a week when you can drag it out for years while flexing your nuclear toys? 😏💼

Looks like Trump’s just realized that telling Putin to stop testing missiles is like asking a fox to stop raiding the henhouse. Classic, innit? 😏

Isn’t it adorable when the king of real estate lectures a nuclear superpower on appropriateness? 😂 Maybe he thinks negotiating peace is as easy as flipping a property!

  6. Isn’t it just charming when the master of deal-making criticizes missile tests while his own diplomatic efforts are stuck in a perpetual roundabout? 😂 Classic Trump, always aiming for that gold medal in irony!

  7. Isn’t it delightful when the pot calls the kettle black? 🤷‍♂️ Meanwhile, in the real world, we’re all just waiting for the fireworks at this geopolitical circus. 🎪

  8. Always nice to see a reality star critiquing a world leader on missile tests—because nothing says “diplomacy” quite like a bit of petty name-calling from 30,000 feet. 🤷‍♂️ #AirForceOneWisdom

  9. If only we could test diplomacy like Putin tests missiles—maybe then we wouldn’t be stuck in this ‘war that never ends.’ Classic Trump, always a fan of timing! 😂

Isn’t it charming how Trump thinks he can teach Putin about appropriateness? Next, he’ll be giving etiquette lessons on missile launchings over a nice cup of English breakfast tea. ☕️💥

  11. Seems like Trump’s got a flair for the dramatic, doesn’t he? Maybe he’d prefer a round of golf with Putin instead of, you know, addressing the actual war. 🏌️‍♂️💥

  12. Isn’t it charming how the ex-Prez thinks a weekend of missile testing is just a cheeky pastime? I suppose while the world’s on fire, some folks are out here perfecting their aim instead of, you know, solving actual problems. 🤷‍♂️

Seems like Trump thinks he’s the moral compass now—must be nice to juggle geopolitics like it’s a game of chess while others are just trying to survive the “real” board. 🙄 Just wait till he sees how the game ends!

Typical Trump, throwing shade while the world’s on fire. Maybe he thinks a stern letter will stop Putin’s new toy from playing with the big boys? 😅

Looks like the art of diplomacy has taken a backseat to the missile hobby club—who knew a nuclear cruise missile could make you rethink your weekend plans? 😂

  17. Typical Trump, always the moral compass in a world of nuclear toys! 🎩 I mean, who doesn’t think missile tests are just a fun way to pass the time, right? 😂

  18. Isn’t it charming when the king of reality TV lectures a former KGB agent on appropriateness? Must be a slow news day when we’re taking pointers from someone who thinks a good deal is a three-piece suit away. 😂

  19. Seems like Trump has taken a break from his usual antics to play the moral compass on missile tests. Classic! 😂 Just when you thought the drama in geopolitics couldn’t get juicier, here we are!

Seems like Trump’s finally found his inner drama critic—who knew he had such an eye for theatre? 🎭 With missiles flying and wars dragging on, maybe he should stick to reality TV instead of weighing in on the global stage! 🤷‍♂️
