Czech Intel Report Claims Russia Employs Migrants to Cause Chaos

The report indicated efforts to weaken Western societal cohesion, instill fear and uncertainty, reduce public confidence in the state’s protective abilities, and increase pressure to limit support for Ukraine against Russian aggression.

According to the Czech intelligence document, many agents unknowingly work for Russia through intermediaries.

Czechia has endured numerous attacks by Russian intelligence agents over the years.

In 2021, the country expelled 18 Russian diplomats over a 2014 warehouse explosion in Vrbětice that killed two people, with Czech intelligence revealing Russia’s involvement.

Last month, Czechia sentenced a Colombian man to eight years in prison for a failed arson attack on a bus depot, which Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala previously suggested was organized by Russia. BIS reported thwarting similar planned attacks.

BIS also stated that Moscow extends its influence through the Russian Orthodox Church in Czechia, describing it as entirely loyal to the Kremlin.
