Council of Ministers of BiH Approves Economic Reform Programme 2026–2028: Essential Move Towards Fulfillment of EU Economic Criteria

Sarajevo, (Fena) – The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has unanimously approved the Economic Reform Programme for the period of 2026 – 2028, which will be submitted to the European Commission. This programme, in conjunction with the Reform Agenda, serves as a crucial document for the stabilization and association process aimed at fulfilling the economic criteria for EU membership.

Spanning three years, the PER BiH 2026 – 2028 outlines economic policy measures across all government levels and aligns with three sustainable development focuses in Bosnia and Herzegovina: effective governance and public sector management, smart growth, and a society that offers equal opportunities. Additionally, it incorporates two overarching themes: developing human capital for the future and ensuring inclusivity.

The document includes projections for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s average growth rate from 2026 to 2028.

It anticipates a real GDP growth of approximately 2.6 percent in 2026, mainly fueled by an increase in domestic demand. (16.01.)

Looks like Bosnia and Herzegovina is really putting the pedal to the metal on this whole EU membership thing – three years of “effective governance” sounds like a solid plan for a tea party! 😂 Let’s hope they don’t trip over their own paperwork on the way to the Brussels ball. 🥳

Looks like we’ve finally found the secret recipe for economic growth: a pinch of good governance, a dash of smart growth, and voilà, we might just be ready for the EU dinner party. 🍽️ Just hope they don’t serve us the same old stale bread! 😂

  8. Just what we needed, another plan to “reform” the economy while we’re all still waiting for the last one to kick in! Cheers to 2028, when we’ll finally see that glorious 2.6% growth – if we’re lucky! 🍻

Looks like Bosnia’s economic plan is all set to join the EU party, just in time for the next round of “How to Not Meet Criteria 101.” 🍷 Who knew we needed a three-year roadmap to figure out how to spend the same old cash more effectively? 😂

  10. Oh, marvelous! A three-year plan to tell us about growth projections—because we all know how thrilling it is to wait for the next big thing while sipping our coffee in the slow lane of bureaucracy. ☕️🚦
