The incident occurred after a night of festivities on July 17, 2022, when both men were under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

According to Ercan Tok, the lawyer for Hakim Mutyaba’s brother, it’s hard to understand why people save pets but these men did nothing to help a person in need. The judge ruled that the men must pay nearly 60,000 euros in damages, considering their young age and lack of a criminal record. One of the men had a difficult childhood and drug problems, which also influenced the decision.
