Greece Implements New Requirements for Car First Aid Kits

From June 18, fines of 30 euros will be imposed.

Greece is updating the requirements for first aid kits in private vehicles. Tourists are also required to have an isothermal rescue blanket of specific dimensions, various gauze types, one set of sterile gloves, a bandage, hydrogen peroxide, and other essential materials. The new regulation mandates 16 items in car first aid kits.

The Greek Ministry of Transport highlights the importance of checking the expiration dates of first aid kit materials. Kits should be replaced at least every two years.

Drivers are encouraged to carry additional supplies that may be useful during travel. The complete list of required first aid kit items is available on the Greek Ministry of Transport’s website.

Tour operators have been informed about the changes and must notify tourists when booking trips to Greece. Compliance with these requirements is mandatory for all vehicles on Greek roads, as emphasized by the traffic police. Starting June 18, failure to meet these requirements will result in a 30-euro fine.

Just what we needed! Because nothing says “vacation” quite like rummaging through a car’s first aid kit to find out if your gauze is still fresh. 😂🩹

  2. Brilliant, just what we need—more ways to empty our pockets while driving through paradise. Who knew a simple road trip would turn into a first aid supply challenge? 😂🚗💸

Isn’t it just lovely how Greece is turning car first aid kits into a full-on shopping list? Next, they’ll require a Michelin star chef in the glove compartment to whip up a gourmet meal while you wait for the tow truck! 😂🚗

Just what we needed, more things to cram into our already bursting glove compartments! 🤦‍♂️ Next, they’ll be asking us to carry a mini pharmacy and a first aid course certificate along with our driver’s license! 🏥💼

So, just when you thought your holiday in Greece could be all about sun and ouzo, they hit you with a new shopping list for your car. 😅 Can’t wait to see tourists lugging around their new first aid kits like it’s the latest fashion trend!

Typical, innit? Just when you thought a holiday in Greece was all about sun and ouzo, they throw in a fine for not having a mini pharmacy in your car. 🍷💸 #AlwaysPrepared

  10. Just what we needed, more stuff to lug around in our cars while trying to enjoy a sunny drive in Greece! 😅 I suppose next they’ll be asking for a full pharmacy in the glove compartment! 🚗💊

Looks like Greece is really stepping up the game in the “how to turn a leisurely drive into a scavenger hunt” department! Can’t wait to see tourists lugging around their medical supplies like it’s a new fashion trend. 😂🚑

So, let me get this straight: I need a first aid kit in my car that’s fancier than my last holiday suitcase, or I’m parting with 30 euros? Sounds like a holiday in Greece just got a “bandaid” on the budget! 😂🩹
