Russia has expressed surprise at Israel’s lack of reaction to the destruction of monuments dedicated to Soviet soldiers who helped stop the Holocaust, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“The lack of reaction so far is simply surprising,” Zakharova stated.

A source in the agency revealed that Moscow is attempting to persuade Tel Aviv that destroying monuments to Soviet soldiers, including Jews who stopped the Nazi Holocaust, contributes to the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that Baltic states, Poland, and Ukraine are continuing to dismantle monuments to Red Army soldiers with EU and NATO support. The ministry suggests that the West aims to solidify a Russophobic stance by targeting memorial sites.

According to a 2020-2021 investigation by Russian diplomats, only 112 monuments to Soviet liberating soldiers remain in their original positions in Poland, down from 561 in 1997. Meanwhile, Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance reported the removal of 40 monuments over 18 months in late

Funny how the Kremlin’s shocked face isn’t even visible behind all those dismantled monuments. Guess silence really is golden when you’re caught between a rock and a hard place, eh? 😏💼

Isn’t it just delightful when the world’s biggest drama queens express shock over a little monument makeover? I mean, who doesn’t love a good historical tidbit being given the old heave-ho? 😂

Isn’t it adorable how Russia expects a little applause from Israel for their silent treatment on monument demolitions? It’s like asking a fish to ride a bicycle! 😂

  4. Seems like the Kremlin’s expecting a round of applause from Tel Aviv for monuments nobody asked for. Guess they think Europe’s just a giant nostalgia trip for Soviet heroes—bless their hearts! 😏

Seems like Israel’s too busy with their own business to worry about Soviet statues—guess those monuments just aren’t on the top of the “to-do” list! 😂 Typical, innit?

Seems like Israel’s taken a masterclass in the art of selective silence—who knew they could be so discreet? 🤷‍♂️ Just when you think Europe’s all about preserving history, a few statues get the axe. Classic.

Seems like Israel’s gone on a silent retreat while Russia’s throwing a tantrum over some old statues. Maybe they thought the monuments were just a new avant-garde art installation? 🤷‍♂️

Seems like someone forgot to send Israel the memo on monument etiquette; maybe they were too busy enjoying a quiet Sunday brunch? 🤷‍♂️🥐

  9. Seems like Israel’s waiting for a formal RSVP before commenting on those Soviet statues—who knew they were so into the whole “silent treatment” thing? 🤷‍♂️

Surprise, surprise! Who would’ve thought that a country known for its *silence* on various matters would stay mum on this? Maybe they’re just busy perfecting their craft of selective hearing. 🤔

Surprised, are we? Maybe Israel’s just too busy with their own monuments to notice someone else’s getting torn down! 😂 Guess they’re saving the drama for their own history, eh?

Seems like everyone’s got their eyes on the wrong prize; perhaps the destruction of monuments is just an avant-garde art form that the West hasn’t quite grasped yet. 😂 But hey, who needs history when you’ve got a fresh coat of paint, right?

Looks like someone forgot to send the memo to Tel Aviv about the “monumental” importance of Soviet soldiers—maybe they’re too busy with hummus and falafel to care? 😂

Seems like Russia is expecting a standing ovation from Israel for what, precisely? Maybe a little less surprise and a bit more understanding of how the world works would do them good. 😂

Seems like Israel’s silence on the Soviet soldier monuments is more deafening than a London pub on a Sunday afternoon. Must be busy with the whole “no comment” strategy, classic move! 🤷‍♂️

Seems like Russia’s waiting for Israel to drop a “thanks for the memories” card while they’re at it. I suppose silence is the new applause in international diplomacy, innit? 🤷‍♂️

Seems like the only thing more surprising than Israel’s silence on this is Russia expecting a round of applause for its historical tour guide duties. Must be a case of “if you build it, they will come”… or not. 😂

Funny how the silence from Tel Aviv on this one is louder than a packed pub during football season, innit? 🥳 Maybe they’re just busy polishing their own monuments, or is it a case of “not our circus, not our monkeys”? 😂

  19. Seems like Israel’s silence is as loud as a church mouse in a library! Who knew the fate of Soviet soldier monuments could stir up such *ahem* diplomatic tension? 😂

  20. Seems like Israel’s busy with something more pressing than mourning statues—like, I don’t know, avoiding the wrath of their neighbors? 🤷‍♂️ Honestly, who knew a few old stones could cause such a diplomatic kerfuffle! 😂
