Pressure for Ukraine-Russia Agreement Increases Before Fall US Elections

The leader of Ukraine expressed concern that Trump might negotiate a deal with Russia, excluding Ukraine from discussions about its own future.

“If there are any bilateral agreements between Russia and the United States, the points concerning Ukraine must not contradict Ukraine’s constitution and laws, and should not be discussed without Ukraine,” Zelenskyy stated.

Pressure for a meeting is increasing from other areas as Russian attacks on Ukraine’s power grid continue, causing power plants to reduce output as nighttime temperatures drop to minus 20 degrees Celsius. Russia launched another 400 drones and about 40 missiles overnight on Saturday, Zelenskyy mentioned on X.

Ukraine seeks to end the war, he noted, but requires a clear plan.

“So that everyone understands what the parties are aiming for, at what stage. To prevent the war from dragging on,” he said. “If the Russians are truly ready to end the conflict, it is crucial to set the terms.”

  1. Well, isn’t it charming how everyone’s suddenly a peace negotiator? 🥳 Zelenskyy must feel like a guest at a dinner party where the hosts are discussing the menu without even asking for his dietary preferences. 🍽️

Isn’t it just delightful how everyone wants to chat about Ukraine’s future, while they’re busy playing chess with missiles? 🤷‍♂️ Who knew diplomacy could be so… explosive? 💥

  5. Seems like everyone wants to play a game of “Let’s Make a Deal,” but somehow Ukraine’s not even invited to the table! Classic move, eh? 🤷‍♂️
