Several European airlines, including Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian Airlines, announced they were affected by the issue. Brussels Airlines reported that none of its flights were impacted.
Sara Ricci, Airbus’s commercial aircraft division communications chief, stated that around 6,000 aircraft were affected. However, for 85 percent of the impacted aircraft, it would be a “quick fix” to the planes’ software.
“The vast majority will be back in the sky very soon,” Ricci said.
Who knew that updating your software could ground more planes than a snowstorm in the Alps? Guess the skys are just too crowded with all those “quick fixes”! ✈️😅

Guess we finally found the software that could ground a whole fleet of planes faster than a British pub runs out of beer. Cheers to a “quick fix,” let’s hope it doesn’t require an advanced degree in coding! 🍻✈️
