15-Year-Old Critically Injured in Londerzeel Traffic Crash

Londerzeel (Eurotoday) – A serious accident on March 24, 2025, in Maldersesteenweg, Londerzeel, Belgium left a 15-year-old boy critically injured after colliding with a car driven by a 40-year-old woman. Police Commissioner Frank Maes is investigating.

On the evening of Monday, March 24, 2025, a serious road accident took place on the Maldersesteenweg in Londerzeel, Belgium. A 15-year-old Londerzeel boy was driving an electric bike when he came into collision with a car.

The child was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital. The female car driver, who is 40 years old and a resident of the same town, was shocked but not injured. She also passed a breathalyzer test that returned negative results, and alcohol was not an issue in the accident.

Why is Maldersesteenweg closed after the Londerzeel crash?

The Maldersesteenweg is still closed while police investigate the crash. Police Commissioner Frank Maes of the KLM police zone said they are working with the public prosecutor’s office to figure out exactly what happened.

Frank Maes mentioned that they’re blank”>going to have a special person look at the road, the weather, and what the boy and the woman were doing before the crash.  They want to see if anything else, like speeding or a problem with the bike, caused the crash.

The road near the Herbodin/Kouterbaan intersection on the Maldersesteenweg is closed. The police asked people to stay away from the area because they were still investigating the crash. They told everyone about the investigation on social media.

They mentioned that people who live in the area should watch for updates about the road and the investigation. The police are worried about the boy who was injured and will keep checking on him.

  1. Oh, just your typical day in Londerzeel, where children on electric bikes have their own version of bumper cars—except, ya know, with a side of critical injury. 🚑 Perfect time for a game of “who’s to blame?” while the poor lad is in the hospital, right? 🙄

Just another day in Londerzeel, where the local youth are getting their “thrills” on electric bikes while drivers are busy perfecting their “car versus kid” strategy. Should’ve taken the bus, mate! 🚲💥

  4. Just another day in Londerzeel, where dodging electric bikes is apparently part of the driving test. Who knew that road safety would turn into a local sport? 🚴‍♂️💨

Just what we needed—another reason for the roads to be closed and for our already terrible traffic to get even worse. Guess the electric bike craze comes with a side of critical injuries, eh? 🤦‍♂️

Traffic in Londerzeel just hit a new low—who knew dodging an electric bike was on the curriculum for driving lessons? 🚦🤷‍♂️ Let’s hope the police have more luck figuring this one out than the rest of us have had with navigating these roads!
