Winners Announced: Music Moves Europe Awards 2025

The Music Moves Europe (MME) Awards have announced their winners for 2025, celebrating rising talent in the European music scene. Each year, the jury selects five standout artists from a pool of 15 nominees, as well as the recipient of the prestigious Grand Jury MME Award. Simultaneously, fans worldwide participate in an online vote to crown the Public Choice Award winner.

The 2025 Winners

This year’s Grand Jury MME Award was presented to [Grand Jury Award Winner Name], recognizing their exceptional talent and contribution to European music.

Celebrating Talent at the Ceremony

Glenn Micallef, Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture, and Sport, delivered warm congratulations to all winners and nominees at the ceremony. He stated:

“Music breaks barriers and brings people together. It composes the soundtrack of our lives. I am so proud to witness such a variety of sheer talent, bringing the promise of a bright future for the European music scene.”

Fans and attendees were also encouraged to explore new artists through showcase performances at the Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) festival.

Supporting Emerging Artists

The MME Awards offer more than recognition—they provide meaningful support to help emerging artists advance their careers on an international stage. The five award winners each receive a €10,000 prize, with the Grand Jury winner receiving an additional €5,000 green touring voucher to promote sustainable touring practices. The Public Choice Award winner is also awarded €5,000.

In addition to monetary prizes, all 15 nominees are invited to participate in an educational program designed to enhance their understanding of the music industry. They will have the opportunity to learn directly from seasoned professionals. Furthermore, nominees perform at prestigious festivals such as ESNS and Reeperbahn Festival, the latter being a co-organizer of the awards.

The Music Moves Europe Awards are co-funded by Creative Europe, the EU’s funding program supporting cultural and audiovisual sectors. Implementation is led by Eurosonic Noorderslag and Reeperbahn Festival, with additional backing from industry partners.

Designed to recognize and support promising European artists, the MME Awards highlight the diversity and innovation in the region’s music scene, offering emerging talents a platform to thrive on the international stage.
