LONDON — Chancellor Rachel Reeves will deliver a statement on March 3 in response to new evaluations of the U.K.’s finances, according to the U.K. Treasury’s announcement on Monday.
The Treasury’s statement indicated that it had tasked the U.K.’s independent fiscal watchdog, the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), with producing an economic and fiscal forecast for that date.
The forecast, however, will not evaluate the government’s performance against the fiscal mandate and will provide an interim update on the economy and public finances instead.
