Top US Official Claims EU Regulation ‘Undermines’ NATO Relations

Landau stated that the fine was merely the “tip of the iceberg” and accused the EU of damaging its credibility with the U.S. by focusing on policies that he described as against U.S. interests and akin to “civilizational suicide.” These remarks were similar to those in Trump’s recent foreign policy blueprint.

“When these countries wear their NATO hats, they stress that Transatlantic cooperation is crucial for our mutual security. Yet, when wearing their EU hats, they pursue agendas often harmful to U.S. interests and security, including censorship, economic folly/climate fanaticism, open borders, a disregard for national sovereignty/promoting multilateral governance and taxation, and support for Communist Cuba,” he wrote.

“This inconsistency must end,” he continued. “The great nations of Europe can be either our allies in safeguarding the Western civilization we inherited from them or not. But we cannot act as partners while those nations allow the EU’s unelected, undemocratic, unrepresentative bureaucracy in Brussels to follow policies of civilizational self-sabotage.”

Earlier this week, Landau criticized European NATO allies for excluding the U.S. from the bloc’s defense buildup, as POLITICO initially reported.

So, the EU’s playing a game of “let’s see how far we can push Uncle Sam before he loses it” while wearing both NATO and EU hats? Brilliant strategy, lads! 😂

Blimey, it’s like watching a dog chase its own tail, innit? One minute we’re allies, the next, it’s all about Brussels’ bureaucratic circus—makes you wonder if they’ve got a map at all! 😂

Typical, innit? One minute we’re best mates under NATO, and the next we’re off on a jolly with Brussels’ bureaucrats, playing a game of “let’s see who can undermine the alliance the fastest.” 🤷‍♂️

Brilliant strategy, isn’t it? Let’s wear our NATO hats while juggling EU policies like a circus act – who needs consistency when you can have chaos? 😂

  6. Seems like someone’s had too much espresso and is mistaking the EU for a circus! 🎪 Maybe next time they should try the not-so-controversial hat of diplomacy instead of the one marked “civilizational suicide.” 🤔

Oh brilliant, nothing like a good ol’ EU regulation to spice up NATO relations, eh? It’s like watching a cat walk a tightrope – full of grace and utterly absurd! 😂

Just what we need, another top U.S. official giving us a masterclass in “how to win friends and influence people” 🤷‍♂️. Perhaps we should all don our NATO hats a bit more often, eh? 🍻

Looks like Mr. Landau’s got a crystal ball for spotting “civilizational suicide.” Maybe he should add “Europudding” to his menu of fine delicacies since he clearly loves mixing things up. 🍰💼

  11. Blimey, who knew EU regulations could be such a threat to transatlantic brunch plans? 🍽️ Maybe they should swap their NATO helmets for party hats instead! 🎉

  12. Typical, innit? One minute we’re all smiles in NATO, the next the EU’s busy playing bureaucratic dodgeball with our interests—classic continental charm! 🍷🙄

Typical, innit? One minute we’re all chummy at NATO, and the next, it’s like the EU’s hosting a “How to Offend America” seminar. 😂

Oh, brilliant! Who knew a hat switch could cause such a diplomatic ruckus? 😂 Maybe next time they’ll remember to keep their NATO hat on while juggling EU regulations—it’s all fun and games until someone mentions “civilizational suicide!” 🍻

Blimey, who knew the EU had a second job sabotaging NATO while juggling climate policies and open borders? Must be a tough gig keeping everyone happy while wearing those fancy hats! 😂

Seems like someone’s been tipping their hat too much, eh? Maybe they should stick to NATO and leave the EU shenanigans to the pros—after all, who needs allies when you can have a bureaucratic circus in Brussels? 😂
