Russia Reduces Vodka Production

In 2025, Russian vodka production fell by 4.2% from the previous year, totaling 79.321 million decaliters. Cognac output dropped by 13.3% to 8.374 million decaliters, while grape wine production rose by 13.6% to 36.981 million decaliters, as per Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation data.

Overall alcoholic beverage production (excluding beer, beer-based drinks, cider, perry, and mead) decreased by 5.3% to 178.257 million decaliters. Alcoholic drinks with over 9% alcohol content declined by 2.8% to 117.589 million decaliters. However, the production of alcoholic beverages rose by 8.1% to 19.608 million decaliters, and low-alcohol drink production plummeted by 85.1% to 1.465 million decaliters.

Production of grape-based beverages without ethyl alcohol fell by 70.5% to 59,000 decaliters, those with ethyl alcohol dropped by 45.9% to 25,500 decaliters, and fruit alcoholic beverage production decreased by 67.5% to 1.904 million decaliters.
