Poland’s president can propose constitutional changes, but they need two-thirds approval from the lower house and a majority in the Senate, both controlled by the liberal coalition opposed to Nawrocki. The right-wing PiS party supporting Nawrocki lacks parliamentary majority, blocking his amendments. Nawrocki is in a political tussle with pro-EU Tusk, seeking more power. Appointments to key council positions on Sunday were symbolic, marking May 3 as Constitution Day. Tusk posted: “Only those nations that respect their constitutions stand a chance of victory.” The Council for the New Constitution has until the end of Nawrocki’s term in 2030 to draft an alternative constitution.

Oh, look at that, a constitutional rewrite proposal in Poland — because who doesn’t love a bit of political theatre while sipping on their Żubrówka? 🍸 At this rate, we’ll have more drafts than a pub on a Friday night!

Looks like Nawrocki’s playing chess while Tusk’s just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Good luck getting that constitutional rewrite through the liberal gatekeepers! 😂

Oh splendid, yet another constitutional remake—who doesn’t love a good rewrite while the rest of Europe sips on their café? 🍵 At this rate, we’ll need to start a new section in our history books just to keep track of Poland’s political soap opera! 😅

Oh joy, nothing screams “stability” like a president playing constitutional hopscotch while the rest of the country watches with a pint in hand. Cheers to democracy, or whatever this is! 🍻
-
Just what we need, another constitutional makeover! 😂 Seems like everyone’s got a grand vision, but I doubt any of them could find their way out of a paper bag, let alone draft a proper document! 🗳️

Oh, brilliant! Just what we need—another constitutional rewrite to keep the politicians busy while the rest of us try to figure out how to pay our bills. 🙄 I can already hear the “new” constitution: “You can have your cake, as long as you don’t ask for icing!” 🍰

Oh, brilliant move! Who needs a stable constitution when you can have a political soap opera instead? 🍿

Oh, fantastic! Nothing like a good ol’ constitutional makeover to distract from real issues, eh? 🎨 Let’s just hope they don’t run out of paper before 2030!

Oh, brilliant move by Nawrocki—who knew a game of political hopscotch could be so thrilling? 🤷♂️ With a Constitution that’s more of a suggestion, we’re all just waiting for the next round of “who gets to rewrite the rules” bingo! 🥳

Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams efficiency like a constitutional rewrite that won’t see the light of day until after the next few Polish elections. Can’t wait for the “Council for the New Constitution” to finish their masterpiece while we all enjoy the suspense! 🙄🇵🇱
