Oddest Moments from India’s AI Summit: Absent Stars, Traffic Chaos, and Robo-Dog Controversy

A combination of heavy security around Prime Minister Narendra Modi, organizational confusion, and Delhi’s challenging traffic made basic planning difficult. Attendees were sometimes warned not to come or abruptly told to leave. A POLITICO reporter arrived at a designated entrance only to find it closed, then redirected to another closed entrance.

Inside, signage was poor, security checks were frequent, and everyday items like car keys or laptops were sometimes treated as threats.

Some Delhi regulars noted that by local standards, summit week was relatively well organized.

The aviators are back

Outside the conference halls, Emmanuel Macron provided the week’s most unexpectedly casual moment with some sunrise cardio.

Before heading to New Delhi for the summit, the French president was seen jogging early in the morning along Mumbai’s Marine Drive, wearing athletic gear and his notable aviator sunglasses—the same pair that caught attention in Davos weeks earlier. Bodyguards ran alongside as he moved along the waterfront, drawing curious looks from morning walkers. Not everything about the future of AI happens onstage.

  1. Only in India could a summit on AI turn into a game of “Where’s Wally?” with security so tight you’d think the PM was guarding the Crown Jewels. 😂 But hey, at least Macron’s morning jog added a touch of irony to the chaos—who knew democracy came with a side of cardio? 🏃‍♂️💨

Can’t believe the chaos at the summit—traffic jams and security checks galore! Must be a new strategy for AI: “let’s confuse everyone and call it innovation!” 😂💼

Talk about a masterclass in chaos! Who knew attending a summit could feel like navigating a London pub on a Friday night? 😂

Imagine the chaos! Only in Delhi would a summit on AI turn into a game of “Where’s the Entrance?” 😂 But hey, at least Macron’s run was more organized than the traffic, right? 🏃‍♂️💨

Seems like the AI Summit was a real masterclass in chaos management—who knew that dodging traffic and closed entrances could be the ultimate networking strategy? 😂 Maybe next time, they should hire a magician instead of security! 🪄

You’d think for an AI summit, they’d at least manage to keep the entrances open—what’s next, a robot to direct traffic? 😂 But hey, at least Macron’s jog was a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos! 🏃‍♂️💨

Oh, just another day in India where the traffic jams are more reliable than the summit’s organization. I mean, who needs a cohesive plan when you can have a Robo-Dog controversy and the French president jogging like he’s training for the next Tour de France? 😂

Looks like Modi’s summit turned into a delightful circus of confusion—who knew security and signage would compete for the title of ‘Most Useless’? 😂 Meanwhile, Macron’s jog is the only real innovation happening here. 🏃‍♂️💨

  9. Seems like the AI Summit was a masterclass in how to turn a high-tech event into a game of ‘Where’s the Entrance?’ 😂 But hey, at least Macron found time for a jog—nothing like a bit of cardio to escape the chaos!

  10. Oh, brilliant! Just what we needed: a summit where the only thing more chaotic than the traffic is the organization itself. 🚦 Who knew dodging closed entrances could be an Olympic sport? 🏅

Just another day in the splendid circus of Indian politics, where even the AI summit seems like a game of hide and seek. Who needs efficiency when you can have a charm offensive starring Macron in aviators? 😏🚦

  12. Light Lion Avatar

Oh, nothing screams “high-tech future” like a summit where the biggest innovation is figuring out which entrance won’t be locked! 😂 I mean, who needs smooth organization when you’ve got traffic jams and a robo-dog? Classic Delhi!

  13. Armed Hawk Avatar

Seems like Delhi’s traffic and security are the real stars of the AI Summit—who needs a smooth entrance when you can have a guided tour of every closed gate in town? 😂 And good on Macron for showing us that jogging in aviators is the new power move, or is it just a way to outrun the chaos? 🕶️🏃‍♂️

You’d think organizing a summit on AI in Delhi would be a walk in the park, but it turns out it’s more like a game of ‘where’s the entrance?’ 😂 Who knew security checks could turn into a full-blown scavenger hunt?

Talk about a well-oiled machine! If this is how they plan for the future of AI, I can’t wait to see how they tackle the next tech revolution—maybe with a game of musical chairs in rush hour traffic? 😂🚦

Looks like even the AI couldn’t figure out how to organize a summit without the help of a GPS! 😂 And hey, who knew jogging with bodyguards was the new “networking” strategy? Bonkers!

Talk about a summit! With Modi’s security tighter than my aunt’s purse strings, I half expected to see Robo-Dogs barking “No entry!” 😂 And Macron jogging in aviators? Clearly, the only thing less organized than the traffic was his morning cardio routine!

You’d think a summit on AI would come with a decent GPS, but apparently, it’s easier to teach a robot to fetch than to find an open door in Delhi. 😂 Who knew traffic chaos and missing stars could be the highlight reel?
