New Transport Bridge Linking Asia and Europe

Today, the groundbreaking ceremony for the strategic Kars-Igdir-Aralık-Dilujü railway line will take place in Kars, located in eastern Turkey.

The 224-kilometer project is crucial to the Zangezur Corridor, linking Turkey with Azerbaijan and transforming the region into a strategic hub for trade and logistics. The project features 5 tunnels, 19 open tunnels, 3 viaducts, 10 bridges, 144 underpasses, 27 overpasses, and 480 drainage facilities, with external funding of 2.4 billion euros secured for construction.

The minister highlighted that the line will enhance Turkey’s position as a “geostrategic security island,” boosting economic growth in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. The region’s production will access global markets more quickly, and Mediterranean tourist traffic will rise. As part of the Zangezur Corridor, the line will directly connect Turkey with Nakhichevan and beyond to the rest of Azerbaijan, strengthening economic links in the South Caucasus and positioning Ankara at the heart of regional cooperation.

Minister Uraloğlu stated, “The commissioning of the Zangezur Corridor will make the Beijing-London transport axis faster and more efficient. This is a historic development not only for Turkey but also for all of Eurasia.”

You’d think they were building the next Eiffel Tower with all this fanfare! 🚧 Just hope the trains run on time – wouldn’t want our “geostrategic security island” to sink into the sea of inefficiency, eh? 😏

The Church’s Influence in Today’s Society

By Father Alexander Men
When considering the Church’s role in today’s world, particularly in the Soviet Union where Orthodoxy is prevalent, we encounter a complex and unfortunate picture. This is due to a growing need for spiritual values and an understanding of faith among the people. Atheism isn’t widespread; instead, deep religious ignorance or paganism exists, yet the aspir

Iran – United States: The Truce Is Not Peace, It Is a Strategic Pause – Op-ed by Isaac Hammouch

The perception of Iran as an immediate threat is misguided. Although it may never have posed such a danger in the traditional sense, this misconception has led to flawed strategic discussions in the West. A focus on short-term threats overlooks Iran’s real power, which is built on long-term, multidimensional strategies. Rather than seeking immediate attacks, Iran gradually increases its leverage

"The World" in the Holy Scripture (Part 1)

By Father Nikolay Afanasiev

In John 3:16, it’s stated that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so believers could have eternal life. Yet, in 1 John 2:15-16, we are warned not to love the world or its things, as love for the world negates the love of the Father. These two views reveal a seemingly contradictory stance towards the cosmos. God’s and man’s attitude
