Multicultural Pageant in Dublin Merges Cultural Celebration with Drug-Education Initiative

KINGNEWSWIRE // Press Release // The inaugural Miss & Mrs Cross Continent event unites 24 contestants from seven countries and a crowd of 450 at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre in Ireland

DUBLIN, Ireland, 16 July 2026 — The first Miss & Mrs Cross Continent pageant on 5 July at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin showcased 24 contestants from seven countries, highlighting fashion, cultural heritage, and social responsibility. It was hosted by Diana Stahl and Asia Kuzma.

Around 450 guests attended the event centered on “beauty and purpose,” which included a competition and drug-education activities promoting informed choices and community involvement in prevention.

Sponsored by Broccoli Care Ltd. and organized by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd. with The Truth About Drugs Ireland, contestants shared their national and personal heritage through fashion, art, and messages on leadership, responsibility, and change.

Councillor Francis Timmons, Mayor of South Dublin, spoke on cultural inclusion and preventive education’s importance.

“Today’s initiative unites communities through education and prevention,” said Mayor Timmons. “Contestants’ engagement with The Truth About Drugs campaign highlights positive leadership’s role in fostering healthier, stronger communities.”

The participation of contestants from varied backgrounds reflected Dublin’s diverse community and offered a platform for personal and creative expression alongside an educational focus.

Drug education before the stage programme

The afternoon began with Truth About Drugs exhibition tours at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre, educating visitors about common substances, their effects, and the contexts of drug use.

Exhibited materials from The Truth About Drugs programme included educational booklets, documentaries, and online courses for individuals and community groups, free from religious content.

Many contestants engaged with the programme ahead of the pageant, completing online courses covering substances like cannabis, cocaine, and alcohol as part of their competition preparation.

The intention was to link public visibility with social responsibility and factual information sharing, rather than merely showcasing presentations.

The Truth About Drugs initiative is led by the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, supported by the Church of Scientology, aiming to educate youth before drug pressures arise.

Inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who deemed drugs “the single most destructive element in our culture,” the programme emphasizes understanding substance composition and effects through personal testimonies.

“Integrating drug education into a multicultural event provides a human and constructive context,” said Ivan Arjona, representing the Church of Scientology to European institutions.

“Contestants from various backgrounds shared a desire to be informed and responsibly influential,” Arjona noted, reflecting values central to European community life.

Cultural traditions represented in Dublin

After the exhibition tours, guests attended the main pageant program where contestants presented their interests and cultural traditions.

Performances included Irish dance by Scoil Rince Ní Aogáin, Indian Classical Dance by the Mudra School, and traditional Indonesian culture by the Indonesian Irish Association.

The event highlighted cultural exchange and offered migrant communities a chance to share traditions while engaging in public programming.

Winners of various categories were announced, with Niveditha Vudayagiri awarded Miss Cross Continent 2026.

A multicultural pageant in Dublin that doubles as a drug-education initiative? Brilliant! Nothing screams “cultural celebration” quite like a beauty contest with a side of substance awareness—talk about a two-for-one deal! 😂

Only in Dublin would a beauty pageant double as a crash course in drug awareness—because who needs runway walks when you can have a side of societal responsibility? 🤷‍♂️💃
