Mickoski: I had an open conversation with Macron about unblocking our path to the EU

Skopje – On the margins of the European Political Community event in Budapest, I had a productive meeting with the French President Emmanuel Macron. We openly discussed unblocking Macedonia’s path to the European Union, announced the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on his Facebook page.

– Today in Budapest, in the presence of the European Political Community, we had a quality working day filled with many working meetings with European statesmen. I am optimistic about our future, fighting for our arguments and the truth that is undeniable. We will do our best to preserve state and national interests, said Mickoski.

He informed that during the meetings, they presented our arguments, how we see our economic future, as he said, what is important, our economic goals, the way we “plan to develop our Macedonia, but at the same time to present our views and arguments for our Euro-integrative path”.

– With every meeting, more and more we fight for our arguments and for the truth as it is, the truth that our citizens feel and which is important for Macedonia. We will continue to fight for Macedonia in the weeks, months, and years to come. We must succeed. We must be where we deserve and that is a successful, European story, and our place is within the EU. After this meeting of the European Political Community here in Budapest, I am even more optimistic that we must be and will be. What is important, is that we will do our best to defend the national interests of Macedonian citizens and our homeland, said Mickoski. (November 7)
