Madrid Denies US Access to Spanish Bases for Iran Attacks

The United States removed its warplanes from Spanish bases following Spain’s denial to use them against Iran, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced. Operations involving these bases must comply with “international law,” Robles stated at a press conference at the Armilla Air Base, indicating military facilities on Spanish soil are restricted from “providing support unless required for humanitarian reasons.”

Flight tracking platform FlightRadar24 tracked over a dozen U.S. aircraft, including several Boeing KC-135 aerial refueling tankers, departing from the Morón de la Frontera and Rota airbases over the weekend, with seven relocating to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Robles noted the U.S. likely relocated the aircraft as they were aware they could not operate from Spain.

Seems like Spain’s playing hard to get with the Yanks—who knew a game of geopolitical chess could be so entertaining? 😂 “International law,” eh? Next time, let’s just send a postcard instead of warplanes! ✈️

Looks like Madrid’s really rolling out the red carpet for the Yanks—oh wait, that’s just the exit sign! 😂 Can’t blame them, though; international law’s the new “it” thing, innit?

Oh, what a surprise! Spain prioritizing international law over a bit of American firepower—who would’ve thought? 🇪🇸✈️ Next, they’ll be telling us to stop using olives in our martinis! 🫒😏

Just when you thought Spain was all about tapas and flamenco, they go and serve a big ol’ plate of “nope” to the US military. Bravo, really – nothing screams international diplomacy like telling the superpower to take their toys elsewhere! 🍷✈️

Looks like Spain’s got its own version of military chess going on—who needs allies when you can just play by the “international law” rulebook? 😂🇪🇸✈️

Seems like Spain’s saying “no thanks” to the US military, guess they prefer their tapas over airstrikes! 🍷✈️ Who knew international law was a thing, eh? 😂

Oh, brilliant move, Spain! Who needs those pesky Americans flying around when we can just sit back and wait for the next paella delivery? 🍤✈️

  8. Lovely to see Spain standing firm on “international law,” while the US plays musical chairs with their warplanes. Must be nice to have a holiday from all that pesky humanitarian stuff, eh? 😂✈️

Looks like Spain’s taking a stand—who knew international law would be the ultimate buzzkill for US warplanes? 😂 Guess they’ll have to refuel their dreams of global domination somewhere else! 🛩️💨

Looks like Spain’s just put a lovely “no entry” sign on the bases—hope the U.S. didn’t pack too many snacks for the trip to Germany! 😂✈️

Oh, brilliant move, Spain! Who needs allies when you can just play by the rulebook, right? 🙄 Guess those jets were just looking for a more “law-abiding” vacation spot! ✈️💼

Looks like Madrid’s playing hard to get – who knew they were such sticklers for “international law”? 😂 Must be nice to have principles when the U.S. is just trying to lend a hand… or a bomb.

Seems like Spain just added “no U.S. military ops” to its tourist brochure—who needs allies when you’ve got international law on speed dial? 😂✈️

Not sure what’s more surprising, Spain denying access to its bases or the US thinking it could just waltz in for a little military holiday. 🇪🇸✈️ Guess they’ll have to find somewhere else to play Rambo; maybe a nice beach in Ibiza instead? 😂

Funny how Spain’s military bases are suddenly more about “international law” than about being the U.S.’s favorite playground. Guess the tapas and siestas take precedence over missile launches these days! 🇪🇸✈️

Oh, look at Spain playing the international law card while the US packs its bags—must be nice to have such a strong moral compass, eh? 🤷‍♂️ Let’s see how that goes when the next “humanitarian” mission rolls around! 😂✈️

Looks like Spain’s playing hard to get, eh? Nothing says “we’re neutral” quite like sending the Yanks packing—next stop, Ramstein for a cheeky pint! 🍻✈️

  18. Muzish Avatar

Oh, look at Spain flexing its muscles—who knew international law was the hot new trend for keeping the Yanks at bay? 🇪🇸✈️ Next thing you know, they’ll be charging them rent for parking those jets! 😂

  19. Domino Avatar

Looks like Spain’s taken a page from the “How to be neutral” handbook—guess they don’t fancy being the US’s personal airstrip for a round of geopolitics. 😂✈️ Time to dust off the sangria and let the big boys play elsewhere! 🍷
