Maasland Seeks Gardeners in Kinrooi to Assist Job Seekers

Kinrooi (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Maasland Community Services seeks part-time gardeners in Kinrooi, Maaseik, Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen, and Lanaken. The program helps unemployed people regain routine, skills, and confidence while supporting local green care.

As VRT News reported, Maasland Community Services is looking for gardeners in Kinrooi, in the province of Limburg, Belgium, Maaseik, Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen, and Lanaken. Officials mentioned that the work is part of a program for people who do not have a job. They can help take care of parks and green spaces. They mentioned that the tasks are simple, like cutting grass, pulling weeds, and trimming bushes. The jobs are not full-time.

Who can join Maasland’s gardening jobs in Kinrooi?

According to officials, not everyone can get these gardening jobs. Only people who meet certain rules can join. People must get unemployment money, sickness money, or help from OCMW. People with no job or income can also take part. The goal is to help people who have trouble finding work.

Maasland Community Services is having trouble finding new gardeners. Officials mentioned that gardening can be hard when the weather is hot or rainy. People do not need to have experience. The gardening jobs are for simple work in private gardens. The tasks include mowing the lawn, removing weeds, trimming hedges, and cutting small branches. Workers do not need to bring their tools. The people they help will give them the tools.

In the past, Maasland Community Services ran a similar community gardening scheme to help residents and support job seekers at the same time. People receiving welfare or unemployment aid were asked to help maintain local green spaces.

Many elderly or disabled homeowners needed help with gardens, but could not pay for private services. That program matched them with locals who wanted to get back into work, build new skills.

Looks like Maasland’s got a real “green-thumb” emergency on their hands! Who knew pulling weeds could be the new career path for the unemployed? 🌱😂

  2. Gardening jobs, eh? Just what every job seeker dreams of—mowing lawns in the rain while trying to ‘regain confidence’! Sounds like a right laugh! 😂🌧️

Oh great, nothing says “re-entering the workforce” quite like becoming a professional weed puller! 🌱 If only they’d include a truffle-hunting course, we’d really be onto something here! 😂

Gardening in Kinrooi, eh? Just what the job market needed—a bit of grass cutting to boost your CV! 🌱😂 Can’t wait to see those unemployed folks turning into top-notch landscapers overnight!

  5. Oh, brilliant! Nothing screams “back to the grind” quite like pulling weeds for the unemployed. Who needs a nine-to-five when you can enjoy the sunshine and call it “employment therapy”? 🌱😂

Oh joy, nothing screams “career revival” quite like wielding a lawnmower in the Belgian heat. 🌞 Because who wouldn’t want to trade their dignity for a pair of hedge clippers? 😂
