Israeli Strikes in Gaza Kill 38 as Netanyahu Travels to US for Ceasefire Talks

The Israeli military reported striking 130 targets across the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours, focusing on Hamas command structures, weapons storage, and launchers, according to the AP. Netanyahu’s office announced Saturday night that an Israeli team would travel to Qatar on Sunday for ceasefire discussions. However, it also noted that Hamas requested truce amendments deemed “unacceptable to Israel.”

The Israeli statement followed Hamas expressing readiness for immediate ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, claiming a “positive response” to the U.S.-mediated proposal late Friday.

On Friday, Trump mentioned a potential ceasefire deal could arrive in the coming week.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s Naim Kassem reiterated the group’s stance against disarmament unless Israel withdraws from southern Lebanon and halts airstrikes, as reported by the AP. Kassem spoke via video to a crowd in Beirut’s southern suburbs marking Ashoura.

Seems like while Netanyahu’s off schmoozing in the States, Gaza’s playing a deadly game of whack-a-mole. Who knew diplomacy involved so much air traffic? ✈️💥

Looks like Netanyahu’s got his priorities sorted—who needs peace talks when you can take a scenic tour to the US, eh? 🤷‍♂️ Just what we need, more “unacceptable” requests on the table! Classic!

Typical, isn’t it? While the big shots hash out “ceasefire talks,” the ground game keeps scoring points – it’s like a football match where everyone’s just playing for the penalties! ⚽️💥

Typical, innit? While the big man’s off schmoozing in the States, the numbers keep climbing faster than a London cab fare in rush hour. 🤦‍♂️
