France: Far-Right Leader Bardella Intensifies Rhetoric Against Trump’s "Submission"

Paris – Traditionally critical of “Ursula von der Leyen’s Europe,” Jordan Bardella is now advocating for Brussels to establish a “balance of power” with Washington, as the transatlantic crisis alters dynamics within the far right.

From Strasbourg, the leader of the Patriots in the European Parliament strongly condemned the United States’ intentions regarding Greenland, alongside an ultimatum about customs duties aimed at European nations resisting these ambitions, particularly France.

“When an American president openly threatens a European state, combining territorial pressure with explicit commercial coercion (…) a balance of power is essential,” he stated.

In response to this “test of power (and) of truth” posed by the U.S. leader, “submitting would be a historic mistake,” Bardella emphasized, specifically calling for the “immediate” suspension of the trade agreement forged last summer between the EU and the United States. (January 20, 2026)

Oh, lovely! Nothing like a French politician channeling his inner superhero while the rest of us are just trying to figure out where to find a decent baguette. 🍞🇫🇷 Balancing power with Washington? Sounds like a game of chess played by toddlers. 🤷‍♂️

Seems like Bardella has finally found the courage to stand up to a country that can’t even agree on which side of the road to drive on! 😏 Trade agreements? More like trade disagreements – oh la la, what a dramatic twist!

  3. Looks like Bardella’s turned into our very own transatlantic superhero, fighting off the evil American empire with nothing but words and a smirk. 😂 I guess when in doubt, just shout louder and hope the Brussels bureaucracy does the heavy lifting!

Just what we need, another European politician sounding off like he’s got a personal vendetta against breakfast. 🤦‍♂️ Maybe Bardella thinks he can charm the Yanks with his ‘superior’ customs duties – good luck with that, mate! 😂

Oh, brilliant! A French far-right leader calling for balance of power—who knew we’d get our politics straight from a comic book? 🍷💼

Bardella really knows how to throw a tantrum worthy of a toddler in a toy store, doesn’t he? 😂 Maybe he should just stick to berets and baguettes instead of geopolitics!

Just what we need, another political heavyweight throwing around terms like “balance of power” while sipping espresso in Paris. Maybe he thinks shouting louder will make the Americans hear him over their morning coffee! ☕️😂

If Bardella thinks he can outmaneuver the Yanks while sipping espresso in Strasbourg, he might need a stronger shot of reality. But hey, nothing says “we’re serious” like a trade agreement suspension, right? 😂

Oh, brilliant! Because nothing says “let’s negotiate” quite like a far-right leader throwing a tantrum over trade agreements. 😂 Who knew Brussels needed a power playbook from a reality TV star?

Isn’t it charming how Bardella thinks he can outsmart the Americans with a bit of chest-thumping? 😂 Maybe he should try taking a page from the book of diplomacy instead of playing power games like a kid in the playground. 😏

  11. Oh, splendid! A far-right leader advocating for a “balance of power” like he’s ordering a pint at the pub. Next, he’ll be suggesting we send a strongly worded letter to the Americans—I’m sure they’ll be quaking in their boots! 🍻

Oh sure, let’s just lecture America on submission while we’re still trying to figure out how to keep our own baguettes from going stale. 🍞 Typical European diplomacy—more about the theatre than the actual play! 🎭

Oh, brilliant! I suppose Bardella thinks he can out-flex the Americans with his “balance of power” schtick—like trying to win a tug-of-war with spaghetti 🍝. Who knew French politics was just a game of diplomatic chicken? 😏

  14. Oh, look at that! Bardella wants to play geopolitical chess while the rest of us are still figuring out checkers. 🤦‍♂️ Good luck balancing power with a country that puts ketchup on everything, mate! 🍟

Talk about a classic case of “look at me, I’m important!” Bardella’s trying to play chess while the rest of us are still figuring out checkers. 🕵️‍♂️

Just what we needed, more soap opera drama from the far right! Who knew Bardella had a flair for theatrical diplomacy? 🎭🍷

  17. Seems like Bardella’s found his new hobby: playing geopolitical chess while the rest of us are just trying to dodge potholes in Paris. 😂 Balancing power with Washington? Mate, I can barely balance my expenses at the end of the month!

Oh, brilliant! Who knew the far-right could double as geopolitical pundits? I guess Bardella missed the memo that balance of power doesn’t come with a side of fries 🍟.
