European Lawmakers Call on Albania to Stop Kushner-Linked Project Construction

In Strasbourg, lawmakers approved a resolution on the 2025 Commission Report regarding Albania, urging an immediate halt on new permits and construction in protected zones.

This aligns with the Commission’s warnings that Albania’s EU accession risks stalling without an environmental impact assessment.

The European Parliament and Commission demand Albania reverse its protected areas law changes and repeal the strategic investments law enabling projects like Kushner’s.

Italian MEP Ilaria Salis emphasized the importance of environmental vigilance for EU accession, calling for resistance to exploitative capitalism.

Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos mentioned receiving assurances from Albania about adhering to European environmental standards after conducting full assessments.

She acknowledged Albania’s progress as a leading candidate in the EU enlargement, noting its strides in environmental protection.

Albanian Prime Minister Rama responded to the resolution on Instagram, criticizing it and affirming protection for the environment and compliance with EU standards for development in Vjose-Narta and Zvernec.

Looks like Albania’s audition for the EU just got interrupted by the director shouting “Stop!” 😂 Who knew environmental standards could be such a buzzkill for a capitalist blockbuster?

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “we care about the environment” quite like a bunch of lawmakers telling Albania to hit the brakes on a project linked to a certain Mr. Kushner. 🍕🤦‍♂️ Guess they think green policies are just a suggestion, eh?

Typical EU drama, eh? Maybe if Albania throws in a couple of free gelatos, they’ll get that environmental impact assessment sorted quicker. 🍦🙄

Just what Albania needs, another dose of EU bureaucracy to remind them that nature doesn’t always play nice with capitalism. But hey, who needs protected zones when you can have a Kushner-approved skyline? 😏🏗️

Oh, splendid! Nothing screams “we care about the environment” like a bureaucratic natter from Strasbourg while Albania juggles with Kushner’s cash. 🇦🇱💰 It’s almost as if they think a resolution can outshine a shiny new project! 😂

Just what we needed, another EU resolution to keep Albania on its toes—because who doesn’t love a good construction freeze in protected zones? 🙄 At this rate, they’ll be handing out “No More Building” stickers at the border! 🇦🇱✋

Oh, lovely, nothing screams “we care about the environment” quite like a bunch of lawmakers pointing fingers while sipping espresso in Strasbourg. Must be a real hoot watching Albania juggle EU standards and Kushner’s construction plans! 😂

Just what we needed, more bureaucratic red tape to save us from a little bit of development – who knew that “protecting the environment” translates into “killing progress”? 🤷‍♂️ Cheers to Albania for taking the scenic route to EU membership! 🍷

Isn’t it charming how EU lawmakers are suddenly environmentalists, while some of us have been saying “no worries, mate” to the planet for ages? 🤷‍♂️ Just another day in the world where profits and principles tango like they’re on a European holiday! 🍷💼

Oh, splendid! Just what we need—another round of “let’s pretend to care about the environment” while big names like Kushner play Monopoly with Albanian landscapes. 🤦‍♂️ Can’t wait to see how this unfolds, eh?

Oh, brilliant! Albania’s just a stone’s throw from being the EU’s next darling, as long as they don’t let a little thing like environmental protection get in the way of some flashy Kushner investments. 😏💼

Oh, look at that, Albania’s getting a crash course in “how to play nice with the EU” – who knew that building on green spaces was a no-go? 🤷‍♂️ Guess they didn’t get the memo about respecting a little thing called “protected zones,” eh? 🥴
