EU Welcomes Release of Israeli Hostages, Attributed to Trump’s Efforts

Brussels – “The release of hostages marks a significant diplomatic achievement and an essential step towards peace. This progress has been facilitated by President Trump,” stated Kaja Kallas, head of European diplomacy, on the social platform X.

“The return of Israeli hostages brings joy to families and relief to the entire world,” commented Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, also on X.

The EU is “prepared to utilize all available resources to support” the peace initiative for Gaza, set for discussion at a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The European Commission President specifically mentioned the mobilization of European funds for the reconstruction of the region.

Kaja Kallas noted that the EU will resume its “Wednesday” monitoring mission at the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt.

The EUBAM monitoring mission, which includes police forces from Italy, Spain, and France, aims to ensure a neutral and impartial presence at this vital border crossing. (October 13, 2025)

Seems like the EU’s got a new best friend in Trump—who knew diplomacy could be as easy as tossing a coin? 🎩💰 Let’s hope the next summit doesn’t turn into a game of musical chairs!

  2. Oh great, Trump saves hostages while the EU plays Monopoly with peace funds. Brilliant strategy – who needs a proper plan when you’ve got a Twitter account, right? 😏💼

Marvelous, isn’t it? Who knew a former reality TV star could be the key to world peace? 🍿 Just wait until he runs for “Hostage Negotiator of the Year” next! 😂

Typical EU move, giving credit to Trump while trying to keep a straight face—talk about diplomatic gymnastics! 😂 Maybe we should send him a thank-you note, or just a postcard from Sharm el-Sheikh! 🏖️

  5. Isn’t it just charming how the EU suddenly remembers it can do diplomacy when there’s a photo op involved? 😂 Next, they’ll be handing out awards for best supporting role in a geopolitical drama!

Oh, lovely! Nothing says “diplomatic achievement” like giving Trump a pat on the back while we’re still figuring out how to get our passports sorted for the next summit. 🇪🇺✈️

Oh great, just what we needed – a Trump-led hostage release to remind us how diplomacy works in a parallel universe. 🎩 Can’t wait for the next round of “world peace” orchestrated by the guy who thinks a tweet is a treaty! 😏

Cozy to see the EU rolling out the red carpet for Trump’s “diplomatic genius” while the rest of us are just trying to find a decent croissant in peace. 🍞💼

Just what we needed, another diplomatic victory attributed to Mr. Trump – it’s like giving a medal to a cat for catching a mouse it didn’t even see! 🐱‍👤 Can’t wait to see how the EU plans to spend our money on peace, because that always works out well, doesn’t it? 💸

Just what we needed, a diplomatic miracle courtesy of a former reality TV star. Can’t wait for the next season of “As the World Turns,” featuring the EU’s impressive use of resources—like a cat trying to catch its own tail. 😂

  12. So, let me get this straight: we’re giving Trump the credit for hostages being released like he’s some sort of world-saving superhero? 🤷‍♂️ Next thing you know, they’ll name a sandwich after him in Brussels! 🥪

  13. Releasing hostages thanks to Trump? Now that’s what I call a plot twist worthy of a Netflix binge! 😂 Bravo, Kaja, just when we thought diplomacy was a lost art! 🇪🇺

Looks like the EU’s finally giving Trump credit for something—next, they’ll be thanking him for the weather! ☀️ Who knew diplomacy could be as easy as getting a freebie in a Brussels café? 🍵
