EU Funds for Scandinavian Dance

Stockholm – The EU’s Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak (ÖKS) has allocated 1.76 million euros to the Scandinavian dance initiative DOKS.

The project’s objective is to enhance the labor market for dancers and related professionals, including set designers, lighting technicians, and other support staff, with a focus on those facing uncertain employment situations.

Leading the initiative is Svenska Rum för Dans from Region Halland, with participation from a Danish and Norwegian dance institution.

“This is a significant advancement in improving working conditions for all individuals in the dance sector, extending beyond national boundaries to our broader region,” stated Annika Ostwald, project manager for Rum för Dans, in a press release.

Oh brilliant, because when I think of pressing issues in Europe, it’s always about funding dancers! 💃 Who knew the fate of the economy hinged on pirouettes and plies? 🤷‍♂️

Just what we needed, more funding for twirling and swaying in Scandinavia! Who needs roads and bridges when we’ve got a dance revolution to finance? 💃😂

Typical, isn’t it? Just when you thought the EU had run out of ways to throw our hard-earned cash around, they decide to fund a ballet revolution – because, obviously, the real pressing issue in Europe is how to pirouette into a better job market! 💃💸

Blimey, 1.76 million euros for a bit of jiggling and wiggling – I suppose the dancers will be pirouetting right into the lap of luxury now! Just what the labor market needed, more folks in tights and tutus! 💃😏

1.76 million euros for Scandinavian dance? Brilliant! Because nothing screams “economic recovery” quite like funding pirouettes and plies. 💃💸

Just what we needed, more funding for twirling and pirouetting – because clearly, the dance industry is the real backbone of Europe’s economy! 💸🕺

Who knew that tossing 1.76 million euros at dancers would solve all of Europe’s employment woes? Next, let’s fund a ballet for better coffee breaks! 💃☕️

Just what we needed, more funding for people to twirl around in tights—truly the backbone of the economy! 💸💃 Who needs healthcare when we can invest in the pirouette economy, right? 😂
