Tabernacle Choir Shines as Beacon of Hope at Hollywood Bowl Return

The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, in partnership with the O.C. Tanner Gift of Music Trust, held two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 24–25, 2026. Elder Gérald Caussé from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who attended with his wife, Valérie, commented on the joy and excitement present, highlighting the concert as a testament to Christ and the gospel’s focus on helping those in need.

Celebrating 100 years since the Choir’s first Hollywood Bowl performance in 1926, this event combined music and a humanitarian mission, benefiting women and children worldwide. All ticket sales proceeds will support CARE, Helen Keller Intl, and The Hunger Project, charities associated with the Church’s Caring for Women and Children initiative led by the Relief Society. This effort aims to improve women’s and children’s health, education, and well-being. The Church will match these proceeds, doubling the contributions.

Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson expressed gratitude for this fundraiser, emphasizing the concert’s dual purpose: enjoyment and meaningful support for a cause. Concertgoer Vincent Neglia echoed this sentiment, appreciating the event’s meaningful impact.

Watch parties across the U.S. will continue, often coupled with service projects. President Johnson noted a Honolulu watch party encouraging donations for local homeless aid. She described the concert as a call to action, urging communities to address local needs, particularly for women and children.

Scott Sperry, president of the O.C. Tanner Gift of Music Trust, noted music’s unifying power, hoping the concert inspires hope, joy, and peace. Elder Caussé invited audiences to embrace the concert’s values of peace, love, and hope.

The Choir’s performance included guest artists Donny Osmond, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Daniel Emmett, Stephanie J. Block, Sebastian Arcelus, and the Bonner Family. Osmond performed songs from “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and joined a children’s choir for “I Am a Child of God.” McPhee and Emmett performed “The Prayer” with Foster, who also played “Somewhere” from “West Side Story.” Block and Arcelus acted as emcees, performing “It Takes Two” and “It Is Well with My Soul” with the Choir.

The Bonner Family delivered renditions of “You’ve Got Soul” and “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” The Choir performed classics like “Call of the Champions,” “Hallelujah Chorus,” “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

Choir member Chathun Nielsen remarked on the significance of performing at the iconic venue, and attendee Linda Neely expressed the concert’s positive impact, leaving attendees inspired to do good.

The four-year “Songs of Hope” tour, beginning in Mexico City, included stops in Manila, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Lima, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. Choir President Michael O. Leavitt emphasized the tour’s success in delivering messages of unity, peace, and hope, affirming Jesus Christ as the source of hope.

Looks like the Tabernacle Choir is trying to outshine Hollywood’s brightest stars again—who knew they had such a knack for mixing music with a side of charity? 🎤💕 I suppose it’s only fitting that while the world’s busy chasing fame, some folks prefer to tackle the more ‘pressing’ issues of life with a heavenly choir and a sprinkle of goodwill. 😏

Can’t wait for the next Hollywood Bowl blockbuster featuring the Tabernacle Choir—because nothing screams “star power” quite like a bunch of harmonizing saints raising money for good causes. 🎤🙏 #BlockbusterOrNot

Who knew a night of choir and celebrity could double as a charity gala? 🎤 Because nothing says “let’s save the world” quite like Donny Osmond under the stars, eh? 🌟

Oh, how lovely, a choir concert in Hollywood, because nothing says “humanitarian mission” like ticket sales in a bowl of glitz and glamour! 🎤💰 I suppose we can just sing our way to world peace, eh?
