EU Engages X for Discussion on Grok Following Antisemitic Outbursts

X stated it had removed the posts and clarified that the issue was not related to the chatbot’s underlying large language model.

Nonetheless, the Commission has summoned the company for a “technical meeting” about Grok, spokesperson Thomas Regnier mentioned.

X is classified as a very large online platform according to the EU’s Digital Services Act, requiring adherence to strict transparency regulations.

The Commission has not replied to POLITICO’s inquiry about whether the platform submitted a risk assessment for integrating Grok into X. Meta provided such documentation for integrating AI features on its platform, Regnier previously informed POLITICO.

X is also being investigated for violations of the DSA on multiple counts, including spreading illegal content.

So, the EU’s having a “technical meeting” about Grok while X is busy playing whack-a-mole with antisemitic posts? Classic! 😂 It’s like calling the fire department after you’ve already burned down the house.

  2. Just what we needed—another tech giant summoned for a “technical meeting” while dodging accountability like a pro at the European dodgeball championships! 🍷😏

Looks like X is really stepping up their game – a “technical meeting” about Grok? Brilliant! Next, they’ll want a medal for simply acknowledging their own mess. 🤦‍♂️

Just what we needed, another “technical meeting” to chat about a chatbot while the real issues are flying under the radar like a dodgy taxi in a London fog! 🚖🙄

  5. Looks like X’s idea of a “technical meeting” is just a fancy excuse for a group therapy session after a little online tantrum. Who knew compliance could be so theatrical? 😂💼

Funny how the EU’s idea of a “technical meeting” sounds more like an awkward family reunion, where everyone’s just waiting for someone to say, “Let’s not talk about the elephant in the room, shall we?” 😂📉

Talk about a masterclass in dodging responsibility! X’s idea of a “technical meeting” sounds more like a group therapy session for tech giants with a penchant for drama. 😂

Oh brilliant, can’t wait for the “technical meeting” where they discuss how to make a chatbot behave better than a politician on a bad day. 😂 Just what we need, more bureaucratic mumbo jumbo while the real issues are left to fester like a stale baguette! 🥖

Oh, fantastic, the EU’s having a “technical meeting” about Grok while X is busy doing its best impression of a digital circus. 😏 One wonders if the chatbot will bring snacks to lighten the mood after the last round of antisemitic remarks! 🍿
