EU and Council of Europe in BiH Advance ‘Block Hate. Share Love!’ Initiative

Sarajevo, (Fena) – The second phase of the collaborative initiative between the European Union and the Council of Europe, titled “Block Hate. Share Love! 2.0,” commenced on Thursday, August 21, with a children’s football tournament held at the FK Sloga stadium in Vukosavlje. This event gathered boys and girls from five municipalities to advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion.

The atmosphere at FK Sloga stadium transformed into a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion, filled with cheers, colorful banners promoting friendship, and mixed-gender teams on the pitch.

Participants from Vukosavlje, Modriča, Šamac, Brod, and Odžak were organized into teams with names such as Tolerance, Equality, Respect, Diversity, Solidarity, and Inclusion, embodying the message that unity and respect triumph both on and off the field.

The tournament was inaugurated by Vukosavlje’s Mayor, Zekerijah Bahić, who expressed support for the initiative within his community.

– My goal is to ensure that Vukosavlje is a place where every child can flourish and is never subjected to hate speech. Sports have the potential to bring us together across all divides, including gender, ethnicity, skin color, disability, and various identities – stated Bahić.

Kemo Sarač, Assistant Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighted that acknowledging diversity is fundamental to understanding and valuing human rights and basic freedoms.

– The more we are prepared to respect others, the better prepared we are for a democratic society – remarked Sarač.

Adis Osmanović, an expert advisor for European integration and international cooperation in sports at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to fostering unity, tolerance, and mutual respect as core values that encapsulate the true essence of sports.

– Together, we can uphold the integrity of sports and leverage its unique ability to promote peace, cooperation, and national pride – stated Osmanović.

Ajna Karić from the Odžak 102 women’s football club expressed that girls are certainly capable of excelling in football, and she is pleased that the village of Jakeš was able to host such an event. (22.08.)

Seems like the EU and Council of Europe are really kicking off the “Block Hate. Share Love!” initiative with a football tournament—because nothing says unity like a bunch of kids running around in matching shirts while adults pat themselves on the back. ⚽️🇧🇦 Who knew inclusion could be so sporty?

Isn’t it charming how kicking a ball around magically solves all the problems of the world? 🥅 Next, they’ll be hosting a “Stop the War with a Bake Sale” initiative. 🍰

Oh, look at that, a football tournament for ‘unity and respect’—because nothing screams love quite like a bunch of kids kicking a ball and wearing labels like “Tolerance” on their shirts. 🥴 Now that’s what I call a kick in the ideology!

Oh, look at that, a football tournament to promote unity in BiH! Because nothing says “let’s all get along” quite like running around in shorts chasing a ball, right? ⚽️😄

Seems like the EU and Council of Europe have decided that a children’s football tournament is the best way to tackle hate—because nothing screams ‘unity’ like a bunch of kids kicking a ball around while adults sip coffee and nod thoughtfully. ⚽️🙄

Oh, nothing screams ‘block hate’ quite like a kids’ football tournament with teams named after warm-fuzzy concepts—next, they’ll be handing out participation trophies for just showing up! 😂

Perfect, just what we needed—a football tournament to fix the world’s problems! Because nothing says “block hate” like a game of footie with a side of colorful banners. ⚽️🎉

Just what we needed, a football tournament to solve all our societal issues! Because nothing screams unity like kids running around in matching jerseys while adults pat themselves on the back for “advocating” diversity. ⚽️🤦‍♂️

In a world where children play football instead of throwing rocks, who knew “Block Hate, Share Love!” could be the new UEFA? 🙄 Just wait till they start handing out trophies for best hugs instead of goals! 🏆

Just what we needed, a football tournament to remind us that the only thing we should be kicking is hate – not the ball, mind you! ⚽️✨ Who knew tackling social issues could be so fun?

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “we’re solving hate” quite like a football match in Vukosavlje where the real trophy is everyone’s warm fuzzy feelings. 🏆⚽ I can just see it now: “Tolerance FC” taking on “Diversity United” for the cup of love!

Oh, marvelous! Nothing screams “unity” quite like a bunch of kids kicking a ball around while adults talk about diversity—must be the latest trend in corporate team-building! ⚽️😂

Sure, because nothing screams “unity” more than a bunch of kids kicking a ball around while we adults pat ourselves on the back for throwing a tournament. Can’t wait for the next “let’s hug it out” event! ⚽️🥳

  15. Oh, nothing like a children’s football tournament to solve all the world’s problems, right? Because if there’s one thing kids kicking a ball teaches us, it’s that unity and respect automatically follow! ⚽️🙄

Oh great, nothing like a children’s football tournament to tackle hate—because who needs actual policy changes when you can just kick a ball around, right? 😂⚽️

Isn’t it just adorable when bureaucrats trade their suits for tracksuits and call it a “football tournament”? Because nothing says “tolerance” like a bunch of kids kicking a ball around while adults pat themselves on the back for “advancing” love. ⚽️❤️

Nice to see the EU and Council of Europe kicking off yet another initiative, because clearly, what we really needed was more kids playing football under the banner of ‘Block Hate. Share Love!’ instead of just, you know, letting them enjoy the game. ⚽️🤷‍♂️
