Brussels (Eurotoday): Namur and Luxembourg provinces face heavy rain (50-70mm) and strong winds (up to 100 km/h) today. Yellow warning issued in Belgium, temps 5-13°C.
There is a weather warning in the whole of the country not only along the coast and Ardennes. According to KMI, take extra care between 12:00 and 18:00 hours today. As explained by David Dehenauw, strong winds will probably be felt from 12 pm until 3:00 pm in some places, gusting to about 80-100 kmph, causing some damage, while parks and forests in Brussels will close as early as 11 a.m. because of the storm, and people are told to keep away from trees.
What is the weather forecast for the Namur and Luxembourg provinces today?
Heavy rain was noted between 8 p.m. last night and 7 p.m. today, leading the Royal Meteorological Institute to give Namur and Luxembourg provinces a yellow weather warning. Around 25 to 35 mm is expected in one hour, resulting in an accumulation of about 50 to 70 mm in two hours. It will be 6 and 13 degrees but will cool down to around 5 degrees in the later afternoon when the storm clears.
On Tuesday, it will be partly cloudy with some rain showers, and light snow might fall in the Ardennes. Winds will be strong, and temperatures will stay below 4 degrees in the central areas, while the High Fens will be around freezing. On Wednesday, expect a sunny start, but clouds will move in, bringing light snow to the southeast by evening. More snow could fall overnight, which might make roads slippery, with temperatures around 3 degrees in the centre of the country.

Sure, just what we needed—a little bit of rain to wash away our hopes for a peaceful afternoon! 🌧️💨 Honestly, is Mother Nature in cahoots with our weather forecasters, or are they just having a laugh at our expense? 😂
