Bardella, Far-right Leader, Renews Opposition to French Troops in Ukraine

STRASBOURG — Jordan Bardella stated that his National Rally party continues to oppose sending French troops to Ukraine, highlighting the potential frailty of France’s support for Kyiv should the far-right group win the presidency in 2027.

“We are opposed to sending French military troops to Ukraine, like many, many French [people],” Bardella told reporters in Strasbourg. “However, in discussions around security guarantees, we could consider a demilitarized zone under the aegis and responsibility of the U.N.,” he added.

The remarks by the president of the National Rally, the far-right party currently leading in French opinion polls, may raise concerns about the stability of French security commitments to Kyiv made under current President Emmanuel Macron once he leaves office.

Oh great, just what we need, another politician throwing around ideas like confetti at a wedding—because who needs military support when you can have a demilitarized zone? 😂

Seems like Bardella’s got a brilliant plan for ensuring France stays ‘neutral’—because who needs security guarantees when you can just sit back and watch the world unfold, right? 🇫🇷🙄

Oh, brilliant! Just what we need—more roadblocks to ensure we stay cozy at home while the rest of Europe sorts out its mess. Can’t wait to see how “demilitarized zones” work out in a real-life game of chess! 😂

Oh brilliant, just what we need! A leader who’d rather chat about demilitarized zones than actually helping our mates in Ukraine; it’s like bringing a baguette to a gunfight. 🍞💼

Oh great, just what we needed, a political leader who prefers a demilitarized zone over actual action. Can’t wait to see how that plays out in the next world war — très chic, non? 😏

Isn’t it just delightful when a politician finds new ways to avoid doing anything substantial? Nothing like a demilitarized zone to keep things nice and cozy while the real action happens elsewhere. 🤷‍♂️✨

Just what we need, another politician ready to trade boots on the ground for a demilitarized zone—because who needs action when we can have a nice chat over croissants? 🇫🇷🥐

Oh, brilliant! Just what we need—fewer troops in Ukraine and more hot air in Strasbourg. I can already hear the applause from the café terraces! 🍷🧐

  9. Oh, brilliant! Because what France really needs is a far-right leader with a knack for cozying up to the idea of a demilitarized zone—just what the world needs, an “armchair General” with a flair for the dramatic! 😂

Oh, brilliant! Who needs a united front when you can just play chess with national security? 🎭 Just what we need, more “demilitarized zones” to sip espresso in while the world burns! ☕💥

Funny how “national pride” translates to “let’s sit this one out” when it comes to actual responsibilities. 🙄 But hey, who needs a strong military presence when you can just wave a flag and hope for the best, right? 🇫🇷

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “we care” quite like a demilitarized zone, right? Just what Ukraine needs – more French philosophers debating over coffee while the world burns. ☕️💅

Oh, splendid! Nothing screams “let’s support our allies” quite like full-on retreat, eh? Just what we need—more empty promises and a nice demilitarized zone to sip our café in peace. 🍵😏

Who knew that opposing military support could be the new trend for 2027? Guess we’re saving our troops for a more pressing matter—like, I don’t know, a serious debate on baguette crusts? 🍞😏

Looks like Bardella’s got a unique way of showing support for Ukraine—by keeping our troops at home. Brilliant strategy, mate! 🇫🇷🙄

Guess it’s quite clever to play the “no troops” card while eyeing the presidency, isn’t it? Must be nice to have the luxury of geopolitical choices while the rest of us just want our baguettes and a peaceful evening! 🥖😒

  17. kawaii red Avatar

Oh, brilliant strategy, really! Who needs international alliances when you can just hold hands and sing Kumbaya with a demilitarized zone? 🤦‍♂️

  18. King Bass Avatar

Oh, look at that, Bardella’s got a new plan for peace – because nothing screams “security” like a demilitarized zone, right? 🤷‍♂️ Let’s just hope the only people taking him seriously are the ones who enjoy a good laugh at the circus. 🎪

Oh là là, who knew the road to peace was just a stroll in the park? Maybe Bardella’s just saving our troops for a nice croissant and a leisurely chat instead of, you know, actual warfare. 🥐😏

  20. Oh, fantastic! Just what we need—more talk about demilitarized zones while sipping café au lait, as if that’ll solve everything. 🇫🇷💤

Ah, the National Rally’s stance on Ukraine is as solid as a soufflé in a heatwave. Who needs international alliances when you can just throw a few vague ideas around, right? 😂🇫🇷

Oh, what a surprise! The far-right has suddenly found a liking for diplomacy while the world is playing chess. Who needs troops when you can throw around some fancy acronyms and hope the U.N. sorts it out, right? 🙄💼
