Aalst Man Fined €7,200 for Drugged Driving with 25 Previous Convictions

Aalst (Eurotoday): In March 2024, an Aalst man was fined €1,600 for drug use and a 20-year invalid license. After violating his ban, he faced a €7,200 fine and a two-year driving prohibition.

After receiving his sentence, a man left the courtroom and immediately broke his driving ban. He put on his helmet and rode his moped the wrong way on a bike path. Police quickly stopped him again and conducted another drug test, which showed he was still under the influence. His actions showed a clear disregard for the court’s decision and the safety of others.

What consequences did an Aalst man face for violating his driving ban?

After the man continued to break the law, the judge said there would be no more excuses. He received a blank”>fine of 7,200 euros and was banned from driving for two years. The court also ruled that he was unfit to drive, meaning he couldn’t legally operate any vehicle. It has been said that his repeated offences and lack of concern for the consequences forced the court to take strict measures.

In March last year, a man from Aalst was stopped by the police while riding his moped. It was discovered that he was under the influence of cocaine. When questioned by officers, he claimed that he hadn’t used drugs in a long time and suggested that “something must have stuck to his tongue,” a reason the judge did not believe. Further checks revealed that the man had been driving without a valid license for 20 years. This was not his first time breaking the law, as he already had 25 prior convictions. He was thus fined 1,600 euros and banned from driving for nine months.

Oh, the genius of Aalst strikes again! With 25 convictions under his belt, clearly, he mistook the courtroom for a driving school—next stop, the Olympics of poor decision-making! 🏍️💨

Couldn’t be more impressed by this Aalst gentleman’s commitment to the whole “drive high and don’t care” lifestyle. At this rate, he’ll earn a loyalty card for the court – who knew getting fined could be so… *in vogue*! 😂🏍️
