President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that drone attacks killed a 3-year-old child and the child’s grandparents in a village in the Kyiv region. Six ballistic missiles hit civilian infrastructure in Kyiv, resulting in one casualty, he stated.
“More pressure is needed with new sanctions to halt the production of these ballistic missiles,” Zelenskyy said on X. He emphasized the necessity of missile interceptors from allies to boost Ukraine’s defenses against aerial assaults.
In southeast Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, three people died and four were injured following an overnight attack, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov.
Additionally, five people were killed and nearly 50 injured in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions, as regional authorities reported.
Separately, Zelenskyy visited Serbia on Saturday, marking his first visit to the country since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, to meet with President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Đuro Macut.
