Scientology Communities in Europe Emphasize Civic Duty and EU Values

KINGNEWSWIRE // PRESS RELEASE // Churches and missions across the continent continue local initiatives in drug prevention, human rights education, moral education and volunteer service, aligning social betterment work with European values of dignity, freedom, equality and respect for human rights.

BRUSSELS, Belgium — 30 April 2026 — Scientologists, churches and missions throughout Europe are sustaining a variety of community-based initiatives that enhance public life through education, prevention, and practical service. These initiatives range from drug prevention campaigns and human rights education to volunteer support and neighborhood projects, showcasing Scientology communities’ enduring dedication to civic responsibility and widely acknowledged European values.

The activities are executed by Church of Scientology churches, missions, and groups in Europe, along with individual Scientologists and volunteers in cities and towns across the continent. Although each initiative addresses local conditions, they all share the common goal of aiding individuals in understanding their rights, making informed decisions, enhancing ethical responsibility, and supporting their communities.

Europe’s founding values, as articulated in Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union, encompass respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights. Scientology communities in Europe perceive these principles not as mere concepts but as responsibilities that can manifest in daily social action, community education, and tangible assistance.

This approach is further strengthened through the Church’s educational initiative “Europe’s Values, Your Rights”, a straightforward campaign presented by the European Office of the Church of Scientology for Public Affairs and Human Rights. The initiative elucidates key European protections, including the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights, using official EU and Council of Europe sources. It primarily aims to educate young adults and the broader public, aiding them in understanding the rights and civic principles that shape democratic life in Europe.

Among the most recognized social betterment initiatives supported by Scientologists is the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, whose “Truth About Drugs” materials are utilized by volunteers and community groups to deliver factual information on drugs and their effects. Across Europe, these efforts have included awareness events, booklet distribution, school and community outreach, and collaboration with local associations to bolster prevention among youths and families.

Another significant area of focus is human rights education. Through Youth for Human Rights and related educational activities, Scientology-supported volunteers promote awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, particularly targeting young audiences. The program seeks to render human rights comprehensible in practical terms, advocating respect for others, rejection of discrimination, and acknowledgment of the dignity of every individual.

The Church’s social betterment efforts also encompass The Way to Happiness, a non-religious moral education guide authored by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Utilized in community contexts by volunteers and partner organizations, it presents practical principles such as respecting others, protecting children, being trustworthy, and striving for honesty. In many European settings, these initiatives

Looks like the Scientology lot has cracked the code to civic duty while mixing a bit of moral education with their brand of “freedom.” Who knew saving the world could come with a side of extra-legal fun? 😂

Isn’t it just delightful how a group once criticized for its secrecy is now the beacon of civic duty and EU values? 🌍 I mean, who wouldn’t want their moral compass guided by a church that offers the “Truth About Drugs”? 🤔

  3. Blimey, who knew that making the world a better place could come with a side of cosmic philosophy? Guess they’re just one “dignity” campaign away from solving world hunger, eh? 😏

Just what we needed, a religious group trying to teach us about civic duty and human rights—because, as we all know, the best way to promote equality is through a hefty dose of Scientology! 😂

Isn’t it charming how Scientology has suddenly decided to be the EU’s moral compass? 😂 Sure, nothing says “civic duty” quite like a controversial faith putting on a charity show—must be the latest trend in the continent’s values!

Can’t wait for the next EU summit to discuss the pressing issue of “how to save the world while wearing a fancy hat” – because that’s what this is all about, right? 😏 #CivicDuty

Seems like the Scientology lot have cracked the code for social responsibility while keeping a straight face – who knew civic duty came with a side of cosmic enlightenment? 🙃

Oh, fantastic! Nothing screams “civic duty” like a church promoting its own brand of morality while handing out leaflets like they’re the new EU Constitution. What’s next, a Scientology booth at the Berlin Wall? 😂

Sounds like a grand ol’ soirée of civic duty, eh? Nothing screams “European values” quite like a bunch of Scientologists preaching morality while keeping a straight face. 😂

Who knew the Scientologists were the new guardians of EU values? Next, they’ll have a campaign on how to politely queue while discussing the merits of moral education over a pint! 🍻

Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “civic duty” like a Scientology community teaching you about your rights while you’re busy trying to figure out if you should trust the guy selling you a hotdog outside Parliament. 😂

Civic duty, eh? Who knew the secret to being a good citizen was found in a Scientology handbook? Only in Europe, my friends, where moral education comes with a side of “you won’t believe what we found in our magic book”! 😂

Isn’t it delightful how a group known for its, let’s say, unconventional beliefs is suddenly the poster child for civic duty? I suppose next we’ll see them handing out EU flags at the local café. 😏

Oh sure, nothing says “civic duty” quite like a Scientology campaign, right? Must be the secret to solving all our EU crises—just sprinkle a bit of moral education and voilà! 😏

It’s heartwarming to see a bunch of folks in fancy robes taking a break from intergalactic nonsense to focus on the good old EU values—because, obviously, nothing says “civic duty” quite like a few pamphlets on human rights, right? 😂

Oh, splendid! Nothing says “civic duty” quite like a group handing out booklets on human rights while keeping their own secrets tucked away. I’m sure the EU values of “transparency” and “freedom” appreciate the irony! 😂

Honestly, who knew that the key to a thriving Europe was a bunch of folks handing out pamphlets and chatting about dignity over a pint? 🤷‍♂️ Sounds like a classic case of “let’s fix the world one awkward conversation at a time!” 😂

Isn’t it delightful to see a bunch of folks in robes telling us how to be good citizens? 😂 I suppose next they’ll be offering a course on how to bake the perfect croissant while saving the world! 🥐✨
