Strasbourg (France) – Approximately 400 individuals gathered near the European Parliament in response to a call from the association France Palestine Solidarité and several other groups. They demanded an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza and condemned the sale of arms to Israel, according to police reports.
Chanting phrases such as “Israel murderer, Europe accomplice,” the demonstrators came from various countries, including France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. They held signs that read “Stop genocide” and “We are all Palestinians.”
Gabriel Cardoen, one of the event organizers, stated to AFP, “We are here to denounce the leaders of the European Union. While they criticize Israel, they are actually enabling its actions.”
Inside the Parliament, Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) attended a press conference led by Mounir Satouri, the chairman of the subcommittee on “human rights.” The conference focused on calls to suspend the association agreement between the EU and Israel. (November 27, 2024)
