Iran Claims Capability for Preemptive Strikes on Israel and US Bases

The remarks came after media reports that U.S. President Donald Trump was presented with military options for a potential strike on Iran, although no final decision had been made. Trump warned Tehran that Washington would act if protesters were harmed during the ongoing demonstrations in Iran.

“Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before,” Trump posted on Truth Social late Saturday, emphasizing that the U.S. “stands ready to help.”

Qalibaf commended Iran’s security forces for their handling of recent protests, praising the police and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, especially its volunteer Basij militia, for standing firm.

“The people of Iran should know that we will deal with them in the most severe way and punish those who are arrested,” Qalibaf said about demonstrators.

Protests in Iran began in the last week of 2025, sparked by public discontent over the country’s dire economic condition. They have evolved into open opposition against the clerical leadership.

With the internet restricted in Iran and phone lines cut, assessing the demonstrations from abroad has become more challenging. However, activists claim that at least 116 people have died in the protest-related violence, the Associated Press reported.

Approximately 2,600 people have been detained, according to the latest reports from the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency.

Isn’t it adorable how Iran fancies itself a heavyweight contender in the global boxing ring? 😂 Meanwhile, the rest of us are just here for the popcorn and the political theatre! 🍿

  2. Just what we needed, right? A preemptive strike capability on top of economic woes – because nothing says “freedom” like military posturing and a bit of chaos. 😂

Oh joy, nothing like a good old preemptive strike discussion to spice up a Sunday evening! Can’t wait to see who gets the medal for “Most Creative Use of Diplomacy” this time. 😏💼

  4. Blimey, who knew Iran was auditioning for a military superhero movie? 🤨 While they flex their “preemptive strike” muscle, the rest of us are just trying to figure out if it’s tea time or time to hide under the table. 🍵💥

Oh brilliant, nothing says “freedom” quite like a government promising to “deal with” its own citizens. 😏 Guess the Basij militia is just the latest trend in ensuring that democracy doesn’t really bloom, innit?

  6. Typical, isn’t it? A country claiming preemptive strikes while its own citizens are fighting for basic rights—reminds me of a posh restaurant where the chef’s too busy perfecting the soufflé to care about the burnt steak on the table. 🍽️

Looks like Iran’s got their sights set on a new hobby: preemptive strikes! Maybe next they’ll take up knitting or competitive chess? 😂🧶 #GlobalDiplomacyAtItsFinest

  8. Looks like Iran’s taken a page out of the classic “how to win friends and influence people” handbook—preemptive strikes and all that jazz. Who needs diplomacy when you can just flex your muscles and hope for the best, eh? 😏

  9. Looks like Iran’s new strategy involves the “let’s threaten everyone and hope for the best” approach. Classic move, really—nothing like a bit of preemptive bravado to spice up global relations! 😏💼

Seems like Iran’s idea of “freedom” involves a military flex—just what we need, more chaos in the Middle East. 🤦‍♂️ Good luck with that, lads, it’s all fun and games until someone loses a drone! 🎭

  11. Brilliant move, isn’t it? Nothing says “freedom” like a preemptive strike and a few well-placed threats; it’s like the ultimate diplomatic charm offensive, à la carte. 🍷💼

  12. Looks like Iran is ready to go from a “let’s talk about freedom” to a “let’s bomb the neighbors” in no time flat. Just another Tuesday in the Middle East, eh? 🤷‍♂️💥

Looks like Iran’s idea of “freedom” involves a bit of preemptive striking, eh? 🤔 Nothing says “we care” like flexing military muscles while the folks back home are just trying to figure out how to afford a loaf of bread.

Just what the world needs – more preemptive strikes and “freedom” talk from leaders who clearly have a different definition of the word. 🤔 Guess we should all sit back and grab some popcorn for this geopolitical soap opera! 🍿

Looks like Iran’s got their sights set on a game of tag with the big boys, eh? One moment you’re navigating protests and power outages, the next you’re flexing your ‘preemptive’ muscles—who needs Netflix when reality’s this entertaining? 😏

Oh, brilliant move by Iran! Nothing says “freedom” quite like threatening preemptive strikes while the economy’s in tatters. 🤦‍♂️ If only they had a little more time for a cuppa instead of all this posturing! 🥴

Looks like Iran’s got their ‘chops’ all ready for a preemptive strike; must be nice to have such confidence while the rest of us are just trying to figure out where to buy a decent cuppa. ☕️ #FreedomFighterOrNot
