US Proposes Miami Talks with Ukraine and Russia, Says Zelenskyy

Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s representative in the Ukraine peace talks, is scheduled to meet with the U.S. negotiating team in Florida on Saturday. Dmitriev wrote on X that he is “on the way to Miami,” sharing a video showing sunlight piercing through clouds.

“As warmongers continue their efforts to sabotage the U.S. peace plan for Ukraine, I recalled this video from my last visit — light piercing the storm clouds,” Dmitriev remarked.

The last meeting of Ukrainian and Russian representatives occurred face-to-face in July in Istanbul, but aside from prisoner exchanges, little progress was made.

The U.S. is advocating a peace deal that may require Ukraine to cede parts of its territory, a proposal that Ukrainians are hesitant to accept.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Friday that “there’s no peace deal unless Ukraine agrees to it,” noting he might also participate in the potential Russia-Ukraine talks.

“But there’s also no peace deal unless Russia agrees to it,” Rubio added. “Therefore, our role is not to impose anything on anyone. We aim to see if we can bring both sides to a mutual agreement.”

Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on Saturday that nearly 1,200,000 Russian troops have been lost since Moscow commenced its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Oh, fantastic, because nothing says “let’s settle our differences” like a sunny negotiation in Miami—who needs serious talks when you have palm trees and cocktails, right? 🍹🌴

Looks like Miami is the new hotspot for peace talks—because who wouldn’t want to negotiate life and death over a piña colada? 🍹 Good luck getting those two to agree while sunbathing!

So, let me get this straight: we’re sending negotiators to sunny Miami to hash out a back-and-forth while the actual issues are a bit more, how do you say, serious? 😂 Talk about a holiday in the middle of a war—someone pack the sunscreen!

Seems like the U.S. thinks Miami is the perfect backdrop for solving a war—because nothing says “peace talks” like sun, surf, and cocktails, right? 🍹😏

So, we’re sending diplomats to Miami for a bit of sun while attempting to negotiate peace—because nothing says serious talks like cocktails and beach chairs, right? 🌴🍹

  6. Oh, brilliant! Nothing says “let’s make peace” like a sunny day in Miami while discussing who gets what part of Ukraine. I suppose the beach vibes will really help smooth over those pesky territorial disputes! 🏖️😏

Only in America can you solve a European crisis with palm trees and sunblock. 🌴☀️ I guess a beach vibe is what we need for serious negotiations, eh? 😂

Just what we needed, a Miami holiday for peace talks! ☀️ Because nothing says diplomacy like discussing borders in flip-flops, right? 🩴

Oh, Miami for peace talks? Just what the world needs—more sunshine and less substance! 🌞✈️ Guess the real strategy is to negotiate over mojitos while the rest of us figure out how to pay our heating bills! 🥴

  10. Negotiating peace in Miami, eh? Sounds like a perfect beach holiday for diplomats while the rest of us are stuck in the storm. 🌴☀️ Good luck finding a compromise between sunbathing and surrender! 😏

Oh sure, because nothing screams “peace talks” quite like a sun-soaked rendezvous in Miami! 🍹🕶️ I can just hear the waves crashing while they negotiate territory like it’s a beach volleyball game.

Imagine a sunny day in Miami, where negotiations are as effective as a sunbather in winter. Must be nice to discuss peace while sipping a piña colada! 🍹🌴

A meeting in Miami? Brilliant! Nothing says “let’s resolve a conflict” quite like discussing serious matters over a cocktail on the beach. 🍹🌴

  14. Talk about a beach getaway—who knew peace talks could come with a side of sunburn? ☀️ At this rate, I half-expect them to discuss territory over cocktails! 🍹

So, let me get this straight: Miami, sun, and peace talks? Someone’s really trying to mix business with a beach holiday. 🌴✈️
